Capitalism Speech
A well known economist and philosopher, Adam Smith, states that economic growth is
hindered by excess government control. He believed that if individuals were granted economic
liberty, maximum benefit would be brought to the general welfare of society.
Yet on the contrary, socialism, another economic system stifles individual freedom and limits
opportunities for personal growth and success. In the socialist system, there is a lack of
incentives within the citizens. There is no motivation by prospect of personal gain or profit,
leading to lower levels of innovation and productivity. This results in a stagnant economy.
There are also many downsides to communist systems. These dictate what can and cannot be
done in business. There are set limitations for the money earned by a business, and the amount
of production.
Capitalism is an economic system based on the primary principles of individual freedom, private
property, and free markets. There are many advantages to this system. There will be an
increase in industrialization and productivity, progressively leading to higher economic growth
and prosperity. It lends consumers the ability to choose what goods and services wished to be
purchased, leading to a more responsive and efficient market. By allowing individuals to control
production, there is an increase in wealth that allows for higher wages and more job
opportunities, notably regarding the poor working-class families with little to no money.
Therefore capitalism is a reliable system that lets people have what they want, without the
government making choices for them.
This is the time where people guarantee their freedom to make independent choices, and
control their own path of destiny. Dreams and passions are pursued, giving happiness,
determination, and hope to the citizens.
Thank you for listening, and I hope you consider opting to a capitalist society.
