2. Des Canards Et Des Oies
In sections 1 & 3, the clarinet plays independently to the piano.
The piano plays in strict time, and repeats the section until the clarinet is finished.
The piano then completes its current repeat and begins the next section.
The length of the breaks should be determined by the player.
The multiphonic effects should sound as goose-like as possible.
Sections 2 & 4 are treated as standard notation.

5. The Derby
From bar 7, the clarinet and piano race each other to the end of the piece. Alfie Pugh
They set their own tempos, and are allowed to vary them strategically, as would a runner or a jockey.
Whoever reaches the end first plays the victory fanfare; the other player must stop, thus ending the piece.
The LH of the piano is not independent from the RH - they play together throughout.
In the event of a neck-and-neck battle, the player that completes the victory fanfare first is the winner.
In the unlikely event of a photo finish, the player with the cheesiest grin is the winner.
