Application conditions
1. Non-Chinese citizens, in good health, generally no more than 40 years old;
2. Have a degree equivalent to a bachelor's degree from a Chinese university
(fresh graduates who have not yet obtained a degree certificate when applying must
provide a pre-graduation certificate issued by their school or college to prove that the
applicant has the ability to graduate successfully before July 2024 and obtain a
degree certificate);
3. Language requirements
Chinese proficiency requirements for admission and graduation of majors
taught in Chinese:
The admission requirements are: HSK level 4 (180 points or above) for science
subjects, HSK level 5 (180 points or above) for liberal arts subjects.
Graduation requirements are: HSK Level 5 (180 points or above) for science
subjects, HSK Level 6 (180 points or above) for liberal arts subjects.
Entrance and graduation language proficiency requirements for
English-taught majors:
Admission requirements: IELTS 6.0 and above, TOEFL 85 and above (or TOEFL
Essentials 9 and above, Nanjing University’s TOEFL score acceptance code is
C288), Duolingo 100 and above.
Graduation requirements: Pass HSK level 3 (above 180 points).

Application steps
1. Log in to the Nanjing University Foreign Students Online Registration
Systemhttps://nju.17gz.org/Apply online and upload the following materials when
applying.
(1) "Physical Examination Form for Foreigners" (template:Nanjing University
Physical Examination Records for Foreigners, valid for 6 months);
(2) Undergraduate diploma or degree certificate (fresh graduates can provide
pre-graduation certificate);
(3) Transcripts of all undergraduate courses;
(4) Two letters of recommendation from teachers with professional titles of
associate professor or above;
(5) HSK certificate (applicants who apply for Chinese-taught courses need to
provide it. Those who have received 12 years of Chinese education in Malaysia,
Singapore and other countries can use high school diploma instead of HSK
certificate) or TOEFL (or TOEFL Essentials), IELTS, Duolingo transcript (apply in
English The instructor needs to provide);
