INTRODUCTION

Administrative Office Internship is the Internship that requires in the

Course Bachelor of Science in Office Administration Major in Office

Management. In this Internship you will learn about the works on the office that

OA do in the future. It is importance that you comply in this subject because it

gives you lot of learning’s regarding the course subject, knowledge and skills that

you will be needing when you’re facing the reality which is the workplace. Events

Management NC III is the one that we ended up taking in our internship in

Administrative Office Internship, because of the Covid-19; we are not required to

do face to face working. And the university comes up with the idea of the

students getting a National Certificate in Tesda. As per the subject Events

Management, it is also requiring us to apply in Tesda to get Certificate because

we also have our Course Subject Events Management where we are making

events that requires becoming creative for our events to be realistic and

attractive.
NARRATIVE REPORT

On November 29, 2021 we had been assessed by the Tesda assessor in

requirements of our course curriculum in BS Office Administration. Before the

assessment day we have been trained the whole semester of our course subject

by our professor, events management is about managing/handling events like

wedding, bridal shower, business meeting and etc.

There are different types of events, personal, business/conference, leisure, and

many more. We learned on how to propose our event plan to our clients, how

we’re going to present it properly, what ideas we have to give a client a

satisfaction and choose us to be their event planner, how much, or is it going to

fit their budget, where the event is held and etc.

The months that we trained are stressful yet fun. As we feeling stressed and burn

out by choosing carefully of what events we are going to present, we too had its

fun because we are free to make whatever event we want to make. I, personally

had fun because I get to choose where the event's going to hold, I get to choose

the foods, the theme and etc. That I want to present to my supposed to be client.

And as we feel stressed because we’re going to be assessed by the end of

semester and nervous about passing or failing it.

And the day of the Assessment came, I woke up at 2 am afraid that I’m going to

be late in the Assessment and I don’t want that, so I woke up early and cook my

lunch that I’m going to eat there. Exactly 3:30 am, I finished readying myself and

the things that I’m going to take with me in the assessment center. 4:00 am, I’m
traveling along with my 9 classmates to our Assessment center, we happened to

arrived earlier than expected so what we do is calm and collect ourselves. As the

time passed by exactly 8:00 am we enter the Assessment center with the things

that we need inside the Assessment center, as the assessor give us a brief

understanding on how the Assessment is going to take/held, we prayed for the

guidance, calm mind and the success of each and everyone inside the

classroom. And the draw lots begin, and I’m thankful that the event that I picked

is close to the events that I make during our training, and we’re thankful too to

our assessor on that day because she’s so considerate and kind to us. As I

present my proposed event to her one on one, I’m feeling nervous and literally

had my body sweating cold because of it. She ask me before we begin with the

proposal what do I feel at the moment and I honestly say that I’m feeling nervous

and she ask me to calm myself because I can do it, haha. As she asks questions

about my event she’s helping me too as I answer her questions and I’m very

grateful to be assessed by her. And the time that we’re waiting for, we passed

the Assessment. And have now our NCIII EVM Certificate.

CONCLUSION

Doing this Administrative Office Internship really helps us students

especially that we are graduating. We need more knowledge and skills that can

help us in the future when we are finally working in the field that we choose. Not

that it requires in the course but, you’ll have lot of learning’s that you can get.

And it is very overwhelming that we all passed the NC III and we are given our

certificate and we have now the eligibility to do events whenever we want to or

when needed in our job.

RECOMMENDATION

I highly recommend this internship program as a whole by the university.

Because it gives us a lot of knowledge and skills that we may be needing in the

future workplace. And it also helps the students get rid of their shyness in

presenting themselves. And also it gives you the eligibility that can also helps you

in the future.
APPENDICES

It is when we arrive in the place that we will be assessed.

NARRATIVE REPORT

Introduction

The Webinar entitled “Webinar on Court Proceedings during COVID-19

Pandemic” talks about the Procedures within court,. It is very important that we

talk about this kind of topic because it’ll help us in the future when we become

legal professionals. Like if we’re going to work inside the legal court we better

know the basics so that we don’t fall for ignorance and misunderstanding on the

workplace.

In the start of the program the professors, org adviser, program head and

our dean gives their opening remarks and their greetings. The Professors and

the Committee gives brief of understanding of what is going to happen or what

learning’s are we going to have after the program.

Message from the Speaker

Ms. Rashellyn R. Peco Mag-Atas- explains the experience that she have

while working in the legal court as a Stenographer. Of course it’s not that easy

because before she work in the legal court, she worked at a bank as a teller first.

So when she applied in the court, she have been back to the start where she

learn the basic legal terms. And then she had been promoted on her work as a

Stenographer.
She let us see via Google meet of what is inside the court room, what

positions are is in that particular spot. Due to pandemic the legal court halt their

trial but they continue now.

First, the roles in the court. The key figures in a courtroom trial are the

judge, a court reporter (in superior court), a clerk, and a bailiff. Other central

people are the attorneys, the plaintiff, the defendant, witnesses, court

interpreters, and jurors.

The judge is the central figure in the courtroom and typically is seated higher

than everyone else. The judge allows each side the opportunity to present its

version of the facts.

A court reporter (in superior court), a clerk, and a bailiff each assist the judge with

the trial. The court reporter records all proceedings in superior court. The clerk

records selected activities for official case file records and is responsible for all

case exhibits. The bailiff maintains order in the court and supervises the jury, if

there is one.

Attorneys often represent the plaintiff and the defendant at a trial. As officers of

the court, attorneys are expected to know and follow all court rules. Their role is

to protect the rights of their client. Attorneys offer evidence and arguments to

help the judge and the jury make a fair decision.

The judge oversees the trial and decides any legal questions that arise. Cases

tried in Court are decided either the judge or a jury. In most criminal and civil

cases, either party may request a jury trial.

To ensure fair and consistent proceedings, all trials are conducted according to

established rules of procedure and evidence.

Court interpreters are provided for limited English-speaking participants in the

case.

A court stenographer is a person trained to type or write in shorthand methods,

enabling them to write as quickly as people speak. Stenographers can create

lasting documentation of everything from court cases to medical conversations.

Second, the procedures of the case in the court like arraignment, pre-trial, trial,

hearing, and etc.

Arraignment is a formal reading of a criminal charging document in the presence

of the defendant, to inform them of the charges against them. In response to

arraignment, the accused is expected to enter a plea.

Trial is a coming together of parties to a dispute, to present information (in the

form of evidence) in a tribunal, formal setting with the authority to adjudicate

claims or disputes.

Hearing is conducted as oral arguments in support of motions, whether to resolve

the case without further trial on a motion to dismiss or for summary judgment, or

to decide discrete issues of law, such as the admissibility of evidence, that will

determine how the trial proceeds.

Digital recording is the full record of the hearing in court, it helps the

stenographer when he/she is transcribing his/her shorthand. And it helps to know

the missing words that the stenographers missed.

If the stenographer does not hear the one speaking or it is too fast to catch up,

he/she can excuse the one speaking and politely or kindly request to repeat what

they are saying.

If you missed some words to write, and it is time to read your shorthand, you can

kindly tell it to the judge, and most likely the judge will help you because the

judge also writing.

It is important to practice your writing and reading in shorthand. Much more your

speed ability to catch up with the dictation because it can help you in the future.

This kind of webinar helps us students to know what are we going to do. The tips

and the experience that the speakers are both important.

REACTION PAPER

The Webinar entitled “Webinar on Court Proceedings during Covid-19

Pandemic” is all about the work inside the legal court. What is inside the court?

What procedures in the court? Who is who? Etc.

Ms. Rashellyn R. Mag-Atas gives us her experience in working inside the legal

court as a stenographer. She shares her difficulties in her work with us. And we

learn a lot by being her audience.

First, the roles in the court. Key figures in a courtroom trial are the judge, a court

reporter (in superior court), a clerk, and a bailiff and stenographers. Other central

people are the attorneys, the plaintiff, the defendant, witnesses, court

interpreters, and jurors.

Second, the steps by steps procedures in the court like arraignment, free trial,

hearing and etc. example meaning:

Arraignment is a formal reading of a criminal charging document in the presence

of the defendant, to inform them of the charges against them. In response to

arraignment, the accused is expected to enter a plea.

Finally, she explains in the open forum the difficulties, prevention and tips in

working inside the legal court as a stenographer.

It is important to learn this kind of things because as a BSOA Graduating

Students there’s a possibility that we’ll work in the court in the future, so this type

of webinar can give us a tip/s on how/what we will do in the future.

NARRATIVE REPORT

Webinar entitled ”Common Health Problems” talks about the commonly

health problems that we encounter in a daily basis. It is important that you know

this because being knowledgeable about health can help prevent things to get

worse.

The Speaker explains to us all the Common Health Problems, Prevention

and Treatments that can use in these health problems.

Headache is pain in any region of the head. It may occur on one or both sides of

the head, be isolated to a certain location, radiate across the head from one

point, or have a viselike quality. A headache may appear as a sharp pain, a

throbbing sensation or a dull ache.

Dizziness is a term used to describe a range of sensations, such as feeling faint,

woozy, weak or unsteady. Dizziness that creates the false sense that you or your

surroundings are spinning or moving is called vertigo.

Dysmenorrhea are throbbing or cramping pains in the lower abdomen. It is the

medical term for painful menstrual periods which are caused by ulerine

contractions.

Sore throat is pain, scratchiness or irritation of the sore throat that often worsen

when you swallow.

Abdominal pain refers to cramps, a dull ache, or a sharp, burning or twisting pain

in the belly (abdomen). Abdominal pain is also called stomach, belly, gut or

tummy ache. Abdominal pain can be very serious, but most abdominal pain is

caused by a minor upset or stomach 'bug' and doesn't last long. Minor abdominal

pain is very common and people may experience stomach aches or cramps

every few months or so. You can usually treat abdominal pain yourself and it will

go away in a few days.

Common colds usually appear one to three days after exposure to a cold-causing

virus. Generally, you don't need medical attention for a common cold. However,

seek medical attention if symptoms worsen or fail to improve.

Flu, or influenza is a contagious infection caused by a variety of flu viruses. Flu

viruses enter your body through your nose, eyes or mouth. Every time you touch

your hand to one of these areas you are possibly infecting yourself with a virus.

These viruses can also spread from touching infected surfaces, such as

doorknobs, utensils, and workout equipment.

A cough also known as tussis, a voluntary or involuntary act that clears tge throat

and breathing passage of foreign particles, microbes, irritants, fluids, and mucus:

it is a rapid expulsion of air from the lungs. Coughing can be done deliberately or

as part of a reflex. Although coughing can be asign of a serious illness, more

often, it will clear up on its own without the need for medical attention.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19:

Maintain a safe distance from others(at least 1 meter), even if they don't appear

to be sick.
Wear a mask in public, especially indoors or when physical distancing is not

possible.

Choose open, well ventilated spaces over closed ones. Open a window if

indoors.

Clean your hands often. Use soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand rub.

Get vaccinated when it's your turn. Follow local guidance about vaccination.

Cover your nose or sneeze.

Stay home if you feel unwell.

Reaction Paper

The Webinar entitled “The Common Health Problems” talks about the

Health Problems that are commonly get in a daily basis. It is important to know

any of this so you can prevent it as soon as possible. This webinar gives us

explanation and ideas on how to prevent it.

The speaker gives us understanding about differences of each, in daily

basis we experience such common health problems such as dizziness, nausea

and etc. As we experience this type of health problems we need to prevent it as

soon as possible so it will not give us more problems.

It is important that were health conscious because it’s for our own good

anyways. If you feel any symptoms in the common health problems, drink over

the counter medicine and if it’s not getting better, Consult immediately to the

doctor and get prescription.

It is good to have this kind of webinar to give students a learning’s about it

and be knowledgeable in terms of health. In this time of pandemic we need to be

knowledgeable and health conscious. We need to be healthy. So as you take

care of your health, drink a lot of water and eat vegetables, it’ll really help

building your health.

NARRATIVE REPORT

Introduction

The Webinar entitled Gender Equity and Equality among the students of

URS Binangonan Campus teaches us about the Gender Equality, Sexual

Orientation, etc. and its effect in the community, Dr. Wilhelmina P. Masinsin

explains the SOGIE and talks about LGBTQIA+ and the Problems and issues

encountered.

Message from the Speaker

Dr. Wilhelmina P. Masinsin talks about Gender and Sex, SOGIE, Gender

Inequality and its results, Gender Equality our Commitments and Mandates,

Gender Equity as means to achieve Gender Equality and How to promote

Gender Equitable Society.

Sex is the biological dimension of your gender and sexuality also referred to as

biological sex or physical sex the term generally pertains to identity depending on

how sexual anatomy and Physiology that parts of your body that irrelevant to

reproduction and the function of these parts. Gender is our ability for higher order

thinking and our tendency to create social norms allow us to attach social and

cultural meanings to things including our sex. For example males are typically

expected to be masculine and females are expected to be feminine. Sexual

orientation is another aspect of our gender pertains to our emotional and sexual

attraction to a person this aspect, refers to an individual's enduring physical,

romantic, sexual and/or emotional attraction to another person (men, women or

another genders). Gender Identity It’s our sense of who we are like for example

do we see and experience ourselves as a man, a woman or neither, an

individual’s internal, deeply felt sense of being a man, a woman, both, neither or

in-between. Gender expression its how you express your sense of being male or

female or neither, maybe through hair style, clouds, etc. The acronym LGBTQIA

+stands for: L- Lesbian, G – Gay, B- Bisexual, T –Transgender, Q – Queer, I –

Intersex, a – Asexual, and Plus +.

Lesbian - Women who are emotionally and sexually attracted to women, gay –

Men who are emotionally and sexually attracted to men, Bisexual- man or

woman who are emotionally and sexually attracted to men or women,

transgender - when your gender identity is different from your physical sex

(male/female),Queer - used by people who celebrate all gender identities comma

can also mean someone who do not want to be restricted as Lesbian, Gay, or

Bi., Intersex – people who were born with sex genitals or chromosome patterns

that do not fit the typical male or female body, Asexual – are people who do not

feel sexual attraction to anyone, but it does not mean that they do not engage in

romantic or sexual relationship, Cisgender –when your gender identity matches

with the sex you are assigned at birth, Heterosexual – a person who is

romantically attracted to or sexually oriented toward people of the opposite sex.

Gender discrimination is to give differential treatment to individuals on the

grounds of their gender. There was a saying gender discrimination is another

common form of discrimination. Statistically, women earn less than men and are

often relegated to be solely responsible for child rearing and house chores. Men,
on the other hand, are discriminated in household responsibilities such that they

are perceived as less manly when they do their share of house chores or when

they become stay at home husbands.

Gender Division of Labor – Men, Productive Role – tasks that contribute

economically (income generating) to the household and to the community like

agriculture, manufacturing, livelihood enterprise, services, wage employment,

etc. Women, Reproductive Role – care and maintenance of the households and

its members, including the bearing and caring of children, food preparation,

water, fuel collection, shopping, housekeeping and family health care.

Community Role – tasks that have to do with managing activities of community

organizations and projects or they have to do with leadership of community

organizations and political structures related to political concerns and affairs of

the locality.

Subordination – the act of placing a person in a lower rank or position, the act of

making a person dependent, secondary or subservient. For examples, the refusal

to allow women to be educated was part of society’s subordination of women to

men, another is , political subordination of women.

Marginalization – the process whereby something or someone is pushed to the

edge of a group and accorded lesser importance. This is predominantly a social

phenomenon by which a minority or sub-group is excluded, and their needs or

desires are ignored.

Gender Stereotyping –it refers to over-generalizations about the characteristics

of an entire group based on gender. It can be positive or negative, but they rarely

communicate accurate information about others. Female Stereotypical Roles is

to marry and have children, to put her family’s welfare before her own be loving,

compassionate, caring, nurturing and sympathetic; etc. Male Stereotypical Roles

is to be the financial provider; to be assertive, competitive, independent,

courageous, and career-focused; etc.

Violence against Women – Any act of gender-based violence that results in or is

likely to result in physical, sexual or psychological harm or suffering o women,

including threats of such acts, coercion or arbitrary deprivation of liberty whether

occurring in public or private life.

Problems encountered is that many people suffers in Typing, prejudice,

and discrimination it is a sensitive issue for many people since it can be traced to

our history, culture, tradition, and religion.

Gender being male or female has socially constructed meanings and it is

different in every culture and may change with time. It is important to analyze

how society enforces gender roles on everyone so we can further understand

how power relations in generals can limit an individual’s freedom and promote

inequality. We do that labels are important especially in the acceptance and

promotion of human rights. The evolution of terms used to describe people who

are emotionally and sexually attracted to the same sex have evolved through
time from homosexuality so gay and to LGBTQIA+ let us remember that we are

all humans Born Free and equal.

Documentation
REACTION PAPER

The Webinar entitled Gender Equality and Equity among the Students of

URS Binangonan Campus is all about the Different types of Gender and Sexual

Orientation of people, explains on how these gender works. The Problems

encounter and Benefits of gender equality.

Dr. Wilhelmina P. Masinsin explain the difference between Sex, Genders,

Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation. Sex is the biological aspect of sex;

maleness or femaleness, Gender is the social interpretation of sex; masculinity,

femininity, etc. We learned about LGBTQIA+, their meanings and what’s stands

for. Many people who has a different sexual orientation like lesbian, gay,

bisexual, transgender, transsexual, queer, intersex, asexual/ally and plus +. The

speaker explains to the gender roles, Gender Stereotyping, the problems and the

issues about these. The Violence against Women, the law about rape, sexual

violence. Gender issues of men like traditional stereotypes are difficult for many

men to live up to, they feel pressure to be a real man to be physically and

emotionally strong and to be the main income earner, and they are less likely to

seek professional help or talk about their problems with friends or family.

The Problem in this Webinar is that there are Stereotyping, Prejudice and

Discrimination about the sexual orientation and the gender. As a woman I don’t

support discrimination about gender because we’re all equal. No matter who you

are, your gender identity just speak yourself and you’ll be heard.
The Conclusion about this Webinar is that we learned about the

LGBTQIA+ , the Problems encountered, the stereotype, prejudice discrimination

and SOGIE.

Youth Entrepreneurship = Success “ turn Job Seekers into Job Creators”

the Webinar held by DTIRIZAL gives us many learning’s and we heard a lot of

experiences that the Guests Speakers went through. In the start of the Webinar

PD Desiderio G. Jurado III gives the welcoming remarks, DTI 4A CALABARZON

RD, Marilon Quinco – Toledo, Mr. Jeorge Wieneke, DTI 4A CALABARZON, ARD

Marissa Argente, Undersecretary of DTI Regional Operations Group, Usec

Blesila Lantayona and Hon. Rebecca A. Ynares gives us Inspirational Speech

for the start of Program.

Message from the Speakers

Ms. Charish Tanawan- Owner of Biba Cakes and Pastries Shop gives us

her journey throughout her career as an Entrepreneur. At her message, she

mentioned that being a business owner is not part of her plan, because in the

first place she had an promising career, stable and good job. And her, being a

business owner is not part of it. When she started her business she said that it

was only their hobby after work and she didn’t think of it as their business, but

eventually it started to grow and it become their work too, and as she has a job

decided to quit to pursue her business, but she doesn’t have the knowledge yet

of being an Entrepreneur, so what she did is, she enroll herself into a masteral in

Making Cakes and Pastries together with her Husband. They attend every

seminar that will help them into their business, she talks with the consultant
about on how to get things done in doing business and eventually their business

started to grow. But as you know, business is not all about rainbows who always

has a colors, they experience many struggles in their business as the Covid19

arise,. Their Problems is that their products cannot be sold because of the

restrictions and it leads to her stress,. But she prayed, and as she prayed, she

think of a way to get their products delivered. And the answer came in. When you

put your trust in the Lord, it will always go well,. Put God first and the rest will

follows. We do not do it ourselves, we do it with Him and we succeed. As she

faced struggles in their business, she did not just cry and be stressed. It has

actions with it,. As she pray, she think of a better way to get their products sold.

And it is social media, most of the business now is through online because of the

pandemic. So take the advantage and always have the need to learn new things,

be creative and put your hearts on what you’re doing.

She also said that she did not see other business as her competitors but a

collaborator that she can collaborate with her ideas in the future.

When doing a business, you need to look at the risks your taking and learn from

your mistakes. Before you do something, make sure that you went through

research.

If the mistakes are repeating all over again then stop. The challenges are there

for you to learn.

When you’re doing something, you have to be happy because it has effect on the

products you’ll make. Always look for the brighter side,. And lastly, she has no
regrets in all decisions, mistakes that she did, because it is the reason on who

and what she is right now.

Dominic Roque- Home Biz Ambassador and Entrepreneur shares his

experience too in the journey of his business, how he start up until now. He start

looking for a something that he can earn with at a young age, he sells water

filters and other machines to many suppliers, and then he starts with buy and sell

cars, he’s been doing photo shoots, and designing caps then supply it to many

companies. He says that being young, this is the time that we figure out what

we’re good at,. But don’t force yourself, it will eventually come.

Identifying your Strength, acknowledging also your Weaknesses.

D- Do something

O- Optimism

M- Make a life

His edge being an actor is that he can easily post and advertise his business. In

this time of pandemic, it is important that you know about social media/ internet.

Because it can be way to advertise your business.

Little more patience on each other, try to be good human beings, stay humble but

being humble doesn’t mean being poor, work hard and help each other.

Tips and edge of him being an Entrepreneur are that he has passion about

photography, so he know what to post. He works hard. And tips are: we have to
find ways to earn money amidst Pandemic, we have to be creative, have to

research. Do what makes you happy, because it is important that you are happy

in everything that you do, enjoy and put your hearts to it. Don’t be afraid of the

failure because it is where we learn.

Focus on things that you do and give it time. You need to focus on one thing first,

and look if it’ll succeed.

Mr. Paulo Tibig- Ceo, V Cargo gives us tips and advise on creating our

own business. He says that we need to be like navy seals, highly trained,

adaptable, so agile and resilient. If you want to pursue entrepreneurship,

embrace, enjoy the moment, we have to be different.

“You have to be orange among apples” – you have to be different, you have to

be creative.

And in business you need to have demographics, you need to know who will buy

your products, and what products that you can sell.

B- babangon

T- tatakbo

S- susulong

We need to consider the elements, evolve, and trust the process. Anticipate,

Create and Evolve. Be the best among the rest. Use your edge- borderless
market, and lastly he quote “people are similar to coffee beans, put them in hot

water and you’ll know how strong and intense they are”.

The Problems encountered in building a business is that we’re scared to

make things worse. We’re too scared to take a step forward, and make mistakes,

but you need to learn on how to trust yourself and your judgment, try and try and

try until you succeed, and until you get you goals.

It is very informative and inspiring the Webinar that are held by DTIRIZAL,

it’s very helpful to us students to have many advise and tips on creating a

business and what to do when face to some difficulties and failures.

Thank you and God bless us all!

REACTION PAPER

The Webinar entitled Youth Entrepreneurship = Success “Turn Job

Seekers to Job Creators “teach us students on how are we going to start

building our own. Not only that were going to seek jobs but we can also create

and start our own.

Ms. CharishTanawan, Owner ofBiba Cakes and Pastries Shop, Mr.

Dominic Roque, Home Biz Ambassador and Entrepreneur, and Paulo Tibig,

CEO, V Cargo. Tells us their experience on doing their business, how they start

up until now and what struggles that they went through, and then give us advise

if we start doing our own,. The speakers went through a lot to become who they

are now, and how the face it head on. In doing a business, it is important that you

are prepared to take a risk, the greater the risk, the bigger the outcome, but it

doesn’t mean that you take the risk without having a thinking or brainstorming.

You need to think very carefully and plan it well. You also need to trust the

process. And not all income of the process is all good, no matter it fails or not,

you need to trust yourself and try and try until you succeed. If you make a

mistake, then it’s okay. But better learn from it. If you fail then there’s something

wrong in the process, so look back and do it again. And make sure you do it

right,. And in the business, you need to know when to stop, if the idea is always

failing then stop, and think of another way to get the goal you’re wanting to have.

In being an Entrepreneur, it’s not always a rainbow and colors. It’s a

rollercoaster ride that has ups, down, and holes in it. You better prepare, brace
yourself in every outcome, trust the process, trust your judgment, trust your

employees if you have, and most importantly is to trust yourself, have faith in

what you can do and what you want to do. Put your heart in everything you do

and be happy. And the most important key in everyone’s success, is to pray, trust

God and have faith in him. He won’t fail you, you might fail yourself, but God

won’t fail you. Because he has plans for us all, and that is success.
NARRATIVE REPORT

Introduction

The Webinar entitled Time Management and Effective Communication gives us a

tips on how to manage our time and how to have a effective communication, as

the speaker herself gives us her experience of how she handle her problems and

Message from Speaker

Ms. Jhoanna Marie B. Francisco – tell us her experience on how she handle her

problems and how she improved it and turns into her advantage. There are no

regrets on how she chooses her career, from her choice of course to her choice

of work. As a breadwinner of the family she said that she’s into helping her family

so she choose the job that she loves to do at the same time can help with her

family so she grabbed the opportunity to work abroad when she has the

opportunity to. In working on a BPO Company she tell us her problems and

difficulties that she face, like in Malaysia you can’t use your mother tongue

(Filipino) as your colleagues and clients are different in the Philippines, when she

was assigned in an Australian branch she needs to adjust her slangs for her

clients to understand her, and now that she’s assigned in the Malaysian branch,
she needs to learn their language as well, it is one of her problems when she still

starting there, so as part of her learning’s, she learned about the basic

communication for 3-5 months so she can communicate with her clients and

she’s glad that now she can have a conversations that they’ll understand each

other. And as not a Malaysian, she encounters racisms many times. Lime the

clients don’t want to talk to her and wants her to switch with other Malaysian

employee as well, but she proves her clients that she can solve their problem

whatever it is even she’s not a Malaysian. Collecting yourself and always keep

calm is the key to success. Listen attentively to show them that you’re paying

them enough attention and make them feel that you’re competent to answer or

solve their problem. And one of the important other work in Malaysia is that you

respect their cultures and beliefs as they’re Muslims. They do not eat pork so you

have to respect it, when they’re having a fasting for their religion, do not eat in

front of them because it’s rude.

Time Management – in time management, she gives tips on how to handle time

properly. In school, first you need to do you school works prior the time that is

given, you set you priorities in school and personal. Make a lists for your school

works, prioritize the most important to the least important so you won’t have to

mental break down if it piles up. Separate your school works to personal. In your

workplace, it is most likely the same. You need to prioritize your work, know

when the schedule is. Make a lists or a reminder for your works in a week so

you’ll know when you are available or you are having a free time for yourself to

relax. Set you lists to the most important down to the least, and lists also the
scheduled time for you to know the deadline for it. “Time is gold”, “Time is

money”, “Once it’s gone, it’ll never be back so treasure your time”. These are the

few quotes that she said in the Webinar. It is important that you manage your

time properly so you won’t regret when it is gone. And she reminded us to give

are body and mind a rest when we have a free time on our schedule, it is

important to exercise yourself to be healthy. Health is Wealth, as you treasure

you time treasure your health too.

The Problems that we encounter during the Webinar is the signal also, as we’re

only depending on the load daily so we’re adjusting to the everyday activities in

the University, and the signal is weak most of the time,. The Problems that we’ve

been encountered during this pandemic is that the face to face OJT halts, so all

of the training right now are all through virtual, it is frustrating because the skills

and the learning that we’re supposed to know on the face to face OJT are halts

too. But in the other hand , it is not a waste of time because we’re still having a

Webinar to learn about the things that we need in the future, minus the

experience.

The Conclusion in this Webinar is that we learned about the time management

and Effective Communication, we learn on how to manage our time properly, to

have priorities in work, to separate the work to personal, and to adjust. In terms

of effective communication, we learn by listening to the speaker’s experience on

how to have a effective communication,. Like the speaker works in Malaysia she

faced many problems and difficulties in her work. She learns their language so

she can communicate with her clients, and improve her communication skills.
Work under pressure, and respect the culture and beliefs of the people surrounds

you, don’t judge. If they gave a beliefs on something that doesn’t have, don’t

judge, and respect it as you also have your own beliefs. Be professional and

mind your own business. Don’t take your personal or family problems in the

workplace.

REACTION PAPER
The Webinar entitled Time Management and Effective Communication

gives students a tips and examples from personal experience of the speaker, she

share her experience in her workplace and how she cope up to the stress and

problems in her work.

The speaker Ms. Jhoanna Marie B. Francisco tells us about her work

experience from her work here in the Philippines to her work right now in

Malaysia. Her achievements are very inspiring because of the experiences that

she had been to. From the course that she picked and study, to her Choice of

career, she tell us too her shortcomings and stress that she encounter on her

work in Malaysia, like the language, the cultures and beliefs, the homesick,

racisms and etc. As she encounters these problems, she handles it all by being a

competitive and at the same time being respectful to others. Like she said, the

religion in Malaysia are Muslims so you have to respect them, when their having

a fasting, you respect them by not eating in front of them,. You also need to be

calm and collected when you have a client that is a racist, you just have to

communicate with them with a respectful manner and calmness and listen

attentively, show them that you can solve their problem whatever it is, and they’ll

not need to transfer agent anymore. She also tells us on how to manage our time

even when we’re still a students, the speaker tell us to manage our time properly.

We can make a list of all our works that to be done, and learn to prioritize the

most important to the least important. But make sure to not overworked yourself,

do not forget to give tine to relax your body and mind, exercise and pamper

yourself.
My Conclusions about the Webinar are: we learned to not waste our time

because time is money (gold) treasure it well. Do not make things that are not

necessary and least important that will waste your entire time of the day,

prioritize things first and do leisure’s in your free time to relax yourself. And by

having her share the Problems that she encounter with her career or her work, it

gives us tips on how we’ll handle ourselves in our future work/career.

Thank you very much! God bless us all.
