Under the Govt. of India Scholarship or Govt. of Maharashtra Freeship scheme for BC students (SC / ST / DT / NT / OBC), certain Scholarships/ Freeships are
provided to the students who have the certificate issued by the Maharashtra Government.

Annual Family Income (AFI) Elig ibility conditions for Scholarship/ Freeship:
SC students: AFI < Rs. 2 lakh p.a. (Scholarship)
SC students: AFI > Rs. 2 lakh p.a. (Freeship)
VJ / NT / SBC / OBC students refer: G.R.Kr.EBC-2014/Pr.Kr.96 / Shikshan – dt 20/08/2016

NT/ VJ/ SBC/ ST and OBC categ ories students will have to submit the Non-Creamy-Layer Certificate for such fee concessions.

Candidates with necessary documents who qualify for the aforementioned Scholarship / Freeship are required to pay, along with the Exam Fees, a nominal fee of
Rs. 445 (for FY & SY) and Rs. 795 (for TY) at the time of admission. They are exempted from all other fees.

St. Xavier's Colleg e, Mumbai's library provides print and electronic resources. An online database of the books and journals is maintained and access to these is
provided throug h five OPAC (On-line Public Access) terminals in the library and a link on the colleg e website. The library has initiated an Institutional Repository by
dig italizing rare books and colleg e publications.
The heritag e structured Reference Library (RL) has reserve counters with text books, current issues and bound volumes of journals, reference books, special
collections, photocopying services, two peer-learning cubicles for g roup discussions and study, separate study area for staff, electric charg ing points, Wi-Fi along
with four terminals for internet access. The functional Lending Library (LL) with a mezzanine houses about 60000 books with open access, paperback collection,
newspapers and mag azines, issue-return counters and a comfortable reading are on the mezzanine.
