 Printed pictures of festival and celebrations

Presentation:
I. Circle Time Routine:
 Walking in the line song.
 Choose a helper by using “Knock-knock who is there?” technique.
 Set up the calendar by asking the students
 TIC sums the date today - ask one by one start with the helper then continue with
K1/K2/Prep.
 Check the weather - sum up
 Pray “Thank you God for the sun and the water, and the air. Bless us as we learn. Bless
our teachers and our friends. Amen.”
 Sing good morning and ask how are you? “Good morning, good morning and how do you
do. Good morning, good morning, I’m fine how are you?

II. Presentation of Topic

 Tell Ss that our topic for this week is “ Wonderful Australia”
 T show picture of Festival in Australia. “Australia Day is the official national day of
Australia celebrated on January 26, honouring the establishment of the first permanent
European settlement on the continent of Australia”
 T show picture of celebration in Australia. “AFL Grand Final is an Australian rules
football match to determine the premiers for the Australian Football League (AFL)
season. It is traditionally staged on the afternoon of the last Saturday in September, at
the Melbourne Cricket Ground.”
