(6) WORK DESCRIPTION:

April 17 – April 24, 2023 [Week 3]

Day 1: April 17, Monday

- I went on to several competitors’ websites to analyse the type of content they are
putting on their website
- I reviewed several resources on their sites like blog posts, white papers, etc and
checked for the kind of content layout they are using
- Later I made notes of them all and chose the top 2 website I liked the most in aspect
of their content

Day 2: April 18, Tuesday

- I made a list of all top pages of my competitor’s website and recorded the load time
for all the individual pages
- Later I analysed their websites in aspects of the placement of their CTA buttons, the
kinds of website forms they use, how they fetch user data, how they can improve their
attractiveness, etc.

Day 3: April 19, Wednesday

- I started working on the parallel project assigned to me alongside the competitor

analysis project
- In parallel report, I had to research about digital marketing, its pillars, its evolution,
the trends in digital marketing and a lot more
- I started off with the basic of Digital Marketing and eventually went into depth of the
topic

Day 4: April 20, Thursday

- I continued working on the parallel project

- I learnt in depth about the pillar of digital marketing
- I also learnt how all the pillars work individually and combinedly to carry out several
tasks on digital platform

Day 5: April 21, Friday

- I attended the weekly update meeting with my heads

- They assigned me more tasks inside the parallel project to work on in the upcoming
week
- They also gave feedback and asked me to make a few changes in the competitor
analysis project
- I worked on making the asked changes in the project and made the final submission.

(7) GENERAL OBSERVATION/ LEARNINGS

- I observed that my company has recently launched a new website which is why the entire
marketing team had their schedules packed, thus I experienced that part of the corporate
where there is a lot of work load on everyone including the interns.
- I learnt a lot of new words like CTA buttons- Call to Action buttons, website forms,
typography and many more.
- Now on whenever I open any website, I have a different outlook towards it. I look at it
from a marketing point of view now and observe all the feature carefully.
- Learnt how to behave, speak, work in a corporate as it is very formal and different from
what takes place in school or university.
- This one week was quite hectic but I could get through every day with a sense of
satisfaction of learning something new every single day of the week.
