positive, tangible results ranging from job creation, a positive impact on regional disparities and an
increase in GDP.

Every region and country in the EU benefits from Cohesion Policy, via the direct effects of the investments and/or
the indirect effects like increased trade.

 COHESION POLICY IN 2017-2013: CONCRETE RESULTS FOR ESTONIA

Between 2007 and 2013, funding from the European Regional Development Fund and
the Cohesion Fund amounted to more than EUR 3 billion in Estonia.
Investments were mainly made in the areas of:

 Environment
 Transport infrastructure
 Education, health and social infrastructure
 Research and Innovation
