Comparatives – Superlatives
Structure – Use
We use comparatives and superlatives to say how people or things are different. We
use a comparative adjective to express how two people or things are different, and we use
a superlative adjective to show how one person or thing is different to all the others of its
kind.
For example, COMP - Mick is taller than Jack. / SUPERL - Mick is the tallest.

Topic
Present Perfect
Structure – use
The present perfect is used to indicate a link between the present and the past. The time of the
action is before now but not specified, and we are often more interested in the result than in the
action itself.
The present perfect is used to describe
 An action or situation that started in the past and continues in the present. I have lived in
Bristol since 1984 (= and I still do.)
