E2M3T3-So and Such
E2M3T3-So and Such
So and such are two simple words that we use in our everyday
speech, but they also can express intense (and sometimes crazy)
ideas and facts.
Do you know how to combine them with adjectives, adverbs,
nouns and results? Today we are going to learn how to use
these words correctly.
1 Function of so
So and such are used as intensifiers when we use them with adjectives, adverbs
and attributes for nouns. They can also express a result when we add the word
that.
Examples:
So is used with quantifiers (many, much, few, little) even if there is a noun:
I have so many friends.
My dad has so much money.
2 Function of such
3 Conclusions
This topic is so easy, isn’t it? Now you can practice with your own examples
and the rest of the exercises of the module. Remember that you can ask
your teacher about any doubt you have about so, such and that.
