donate together ?
Simran donated = ₹ 750
Varun donated = ₹ 750 x 5 = ₹ 3750
Total donation of Varun and Simran = ₹ 750 + ₹ 3750 = ₹ 4500

Q5. A school trip was organised and 342 students gave consent for going on the trip.Each student paid
₹4450. Find the total amount collected by the school for this trip ?

Number of students who gave their consent for the trip = 342
Amount each student paid = ₹ 4450
Total amount collected = ₹ 4450 x 342 = ₹ 15,21,900

Q6. A shopkeeper has 45,672 kg rice and it needs to be packed in 35 kg bags.How many such bags will
the shopkeeper require?How much rice will be in the last bag ?

Total quantity of rice with the shopkeeper = 45672 kg

Weight of rice in each bag = 35 kg
Number of bags required = 45672 ÷ 𝟑𝟓 = 𝑸 = 𝟏𝟑𝟎𝟒 ; 𝑹 = 𝟑𝟐
So the shopkeeper can pack 1304 bags with 35 kg rice in each bag and the last bag ( 36th ) will have only
32 kg of rice.
