Dear Consultant,

RecyclAI is a Scotland-based company that provides smart waste bins for offices and public
spaces. Our mission is to develop a more sustainable way of managing waste, reducing the
environmental impact and creating a sustainable future for all.

In the last few years, the company has achieved significant success in the UK market. However,
we aim to scale up by expanding into foreign markets.

You are commissioned to assist us in achieving this aim. We need a comprehensive analysis of the
key challenges and opportunities of potential overseas markets to consider for international
expansion, as well as recommendations on how to successfully achieve this business aim.

Below we provide you with some essential information about our technology, the history and
current position of our company, our business goal and what we expect from you.

Smart waste bins

Our smart waste bins are equipped with a set of sensors and powered by artificial intelligence. This
technology allows for the identification, separation and storing of different types of waste in the
most appropriate baskets.

Moreover, our technology is able to collect data on every item to provide valuable insights and
forecasts about waste generation patterns. End-users can check the information about recycling
rates through our digital platform and app. This process helps our customers in optimizing waste
management operations, reducing waste disposal costs, and minimizing the environmental impact
of waste disposal.

Educational and local institutions are looking for new ways to reduce their environmental impact
and comply with waste reduction regulations. Private sector businesses are also interested in
reducing their ecological footprint and improving their sustainability credentials.

The problem

However, our company is also facing several challenges. First, waste management regulations and
policies vary widely across countries and regions. In addition, in order to propose an effective and
efficient technology, we need to tailor our solution to the specific needs and characteristics of each
market.

This implies that we need to conduct extensive market research in advance and customize our
products for each new market.

Required output

You are commissioned to provide us with a detailed report of potential markets for
international expansion as follows:

• information on potential markets size

• growth potential
• expansion strategies
• regulatory environments
• potential competitors and business risks.

We strongly believe that your contribution can support us in “Making a Better Future”!

Sincerely,

Lucy and Anong
