1. What is the IP address of your computer? How did you find out?

 IPv4 Address: 192.168.111.90

 First, click on your Start Menu and type cmd in the search box and press enter. A
black and white window will open where you will type ipconfig /all and press
enter.

2. What are the IP addresses of the following:

 google.com - IPv4: 8.8.8.8 and/or 8.8.4.4 .


For IPv6: 2001:4860:4860::8888 and/or 2001:4860:4860::8844 .

 facebook.com - IPv6 address 2a03:2880:f012:1:face:b00c::1

 Yahoo.com - 206.190.36.45

Discuss how did you find out the above IP addresses?

-I found it with the help of Google.

3. Did you get IPv4 or IPv6 addresses? What is the difference between IPv4 from
IPv6?

 -I got IPv4. IPv4 Address: 192.168.111.90

-The main difference between IPv4 and IPv6 is the address size of IP addresses. The IPv4
is a 32-bit address, whereas IPv6 is a 128-bit hexadecimal address. IPv6 provides a large
address space, and it contains a simple header as compared to IPv4.
4. What is Protocol?

-a set of rules outlining how connected devices communicate across a network to


exchange information easily and safely

5. What is a MAC Address? How did you find it?

MAC Address: 30-9C-23-D2-F9-FC

1. Open the CMD (Command Prompt) by writing “cmd” in the search menu, which
is at the left hand corner of the screen, next to the Windows icon.
2. After writing “cmd” press enter.
3. A black dialog box will pop up:
4. Enter the "getmac” command. ...
5. Then press enter.
6. Look for the mac Address. For example, the MAC address 001B638445E6 may
be given as 00:1b:63:84:45:e6 or as 00-1B-63-84-45-E6.
