These instructions will guide you through the assembly of the 28mm Scifi Main Battle
Tank.
This is a larger and more complicated kit, with multiple options for assembly and
construction. It is recommended that you read through all the steps in advance before
committing to assembly.
We recommend a Gel Cyanoacrylate (Super Glue) for assembly of resin printed parts,
although some larger assemblies may benefit from Epoxy or other types of adhesive.
Always “dry-fit” pieces before assembly to ensure correct fitment and alignment.

To assemble the Central Core you will need to print the following pieces in the “MBT -
Generic Parts” folder:
(L) Assault Ramp Hinge.stl
(L) Front Arch.stl
(R) Assault Ramp Hingestl
(R) Front Arch.stl
2 x Exhaust Block.stl
2 x Mid Arch.stl
2 x Rear Arch.stl
Assault Ramp.stl
Front Turret Cover.stl (Retain this for a later step)
Main Body Shell (Middle - Front).stl
Main Body Shell (Middle - Rear Wall).stl
Main Body Shell (Middle - Rear).stl

If you don’t wish to print / show the interior of the vehicle you can skip printing the pieces
shown in Italics.
Locate the Main Body Shell (Middle—Rear Wall) into the Main Body Shell (Middle—Rear).
Align the shape of the bottom of the wall with the cutout pattern on the interior floor. The
wall should align flush with the angled edges of the half arch detail and the two cutouts.
Locate the Rear Arch into the Main Body Shell (Middle—Rear). Align the back of the Rear
Arch with the space between the raised arch details.

Repeat this step on the Left and Right sides.


Locate the (R) Front Arch into the Main Body Shell (Middle—Front). Align the back of the
(R) Front Arch with the space between the raised arch details.

Locate the Mid Arch into the Main Body Shell (Middle—Front). Align the back of the Mid
Arch with the space between the raised arch details.
NOTE: If you want to paint the interior of the vehicle it is recommended that you do it at
this point in the construction—as access will significantly more restricted afterwards!

Glue the completed Main Body Shell (Middle—Front) and Main Body Shell (Middle—Rear)
together, aligning the pieces ensuring the sides are flush and the arches interlock cleanly.
NOTE: If you don’t want to see the interior you can just glue the Assault Ramp into the
Main Body assembly

Locate the Assault Ramp with the hinge pins in the Main Body assembly. Carefully apply
glue to the bottom of the (L) & (R) Assault Ramp Hinge pieces and use them to capture
the hinge pins in place.
Locate the 2 x Exhaust Block into the locating holes on the Main Body assembly.
The Central Core assembly is complete.
Now choose if you wish your Main Battle Tank to be motive via Tracks or Antigravity and
follow the appropriate steps in the following sections.
To assemble the Tracked Version you will need to print the following pieces in the “MBT -
Tracked Parts” folder:
Main Body Shell (Left Side - Front).stl
Main Body Shell (Left Side - Rear).stl
Main Body Shell (Right Side - Front).stl
Main Body Shell (Right Side - Rear).stl
Side Skirt (Left).stl
Side Skirt (Right).stl
Tracks (Front Left).stl
Tracks (Front Right).stl
Tracks (Rear Left).stl
Tracks (Rear Right).stl
Attach the Main Body Shell (Left Side—Front) to the Main Body Shell (Left Side—Rear).
Align the back of the track sections on a flat surface to ensure they are flush.

Repeat this step on the Left and Right sides.


Attach the Tracks (Front Left) to the assembly from the previous step.
Push the tracks diagonally up and backwards to tuck the tracks under the front Track
Guard and align the Track Guides between the slots in the Road Wheels.

Repeat this step on the Left and Right sides.


Attach the Tracks (Rear Left) to the assembly from the previous step.
Push the tracks diagonally up and forwards to tuck the tracks under the rear Track Guard
and align the Track Guides between the slots in the Road Wheels.

Repeat this step on the Left and Right sides.


Attach the Sideskirt (Left) to the assembly from the previous step.
Use the tabs to tuck under the Track Guards at either end.

Repeat this step on the Left and Right sides.


Attach the completed (L) & (R) Track Assemblies to the Central Core assembly from the
previous section.

The sides of the Track Assemblies and Central Core are keyed in various ways to ensure a
proper alignment.
The Tracked Vehicle assembly is complete.
Now choose how you wish your Main Battle Tank to be armed and follow the appropriate
steps in the following sections.
To assemble the Antigravity Version you will need to print the following pieces in the
“MBT - Antigrav Parts” folder:
(L) Front Gravplate.stl
(L) Grav Main Body Shell (Side - Front).stl
(L) Grav Main Body Shell (Side - Rear).stl
(L) Lower Engine.stl
(L) Rear Engine Shroud.stl
(L) Rear Gravplate.stl
(L) Upper Engine.stl
(R) Front Gravplate.stl
(R) Grav Main Body Shell (Side - Front).stl
(R) Grav Main Body Shell (Side - Rear).stl
(R) Lower Engine.stl
(R) Rear Engine Shroud.stl
(R) Rear Gravplate.stl
(R) Upper Engine.stl
Gravplate Front x 8.stl
Gravplate Rear x 4.stl
Attach the (L) Grav Main Body Shell (Side—Front) to the (L) Grav Main Body Shell (Side—
Rear)
Align the back of the sections on a flat surface to ensure they are flush.

Repeat this step on the Left and Right sides.


Attach the (L) Rear Engine Shroud to the assembly from the previous step.

Repeat this step on the Left and Right sides.


Attach the (L) Upper Engine & (L) Lower Engine into the locating holes in the assembly
from the previous step.

Repeat this step on the Left and Right sides.


Attach the (L) Front Gravplate into the locating holes in the assembly from the previous
step.

Repeat this step on the Left and Right sides.


Attach 4 x Gravplate Front into the locating holes in the assembly from the previous step.
Note that these go into the four front most holes.

Repeat this step on the Left and Right sides.


Attach 2 x Gravplate Rear into the locating holes in the assembly from the previous step.
Note that these go into the two rear most holes.

Repeat this step on the Left and Right sides.


Attach the completed (L) & (R) Antigravity Assemblies to the Central Core assembly from
the previous section.

The sides of the Antigravity Assemblies and Central Core are keyed in various ways to en-
sure a proper alignment.
Attach the (L) Rear Gravplate to the assembly from the previous step.
Attach the (R) Rear Gravplate to the assembly from the previous step.
The Antigravity Vehicle assembly is complete.
Now choose how you wish your Main Battle Tank to be armed and follow the appropriate
steps in the following sections.
To assemble the MBT without a turret you will need to print the following pieces in the
“Weapons—Top Turret” folder:

All versions:
Main Body Shell Turret (Middle - Roof).stl
(L) Scifi Knight Arm.stl
(R) Scifi Knight Arm.stl
Scifi Knight Helmet.stl
Scifi Knight Torso.stl
Turret Ring and Arm (Top Turret).stl

One of the below, depending on if you want a rear facing Point Defence weapon:
Turret Centre.stl
Turret Centre (Point Defence).stl

Your selection of two weapons from the list below:


Pod (Destructor Sun Gun).stl
Pod (Gatling Cannon).stl
Pod (Heavy Laser Cannon).stl
Pod (Laser Cannon).stl

One of the below from the Point Defence Weapons sub-folder:


Ground to Air Missile Pod.stl
Point Defence Stubber.stl
Locate the Main Body Shell Turret (Middle - Roof) into the Main Body assembly from the
previous section.
(Antigravity version shown here for reference, weapons are compatible with both).
Locate your chosen Pod weapons onto the retaining pegs of the chosen Turret Centre.
Locate the Turret Ring and Arm (Top Turret) into the Turret Centre assembly from the
previous section.

Assemble the various Scifi Knight components into the Turret Ring and Arm (Top Turret).
NOTE: You may wish to leave affixing the Arms until you have positioned the Pintle
Weapon of your choice.
If you are using the Turret Centre (Point Defence) then you can insert your chosen Point
Defence weapon (Ground to Air Missile Pod or Point Defence Stubber).
Locate the Turret into the Main Body assembly from the previous section.
(Antigravity version shown here for reference, weapons are compatible with both).
The Top Turret Weapon assembly is complete.
(Antigravity version shown here for reference, weapons are compatible with both).
To assemble the MBT without a turret you will need to print the following pieces in the
“Weapons—No Turret” folder:
(L) Scifi Knight Arm.stl
(R) Scifi Knight Arm.stl
Driver Viewport.stl
Main Body Shell (Middle - Roof).stl
Scifi Knight Helmet.stl
Scifi Knight Torso.stl
Turret Ring and Arm.stl
Locate the Main Body Shell (Middle—Roof) into the Main Body assembly from the
previous section.
(Tracked version shown here for reference, weapons are compatible with both).
Locate the Driver Viewport into the Main Body assembly from the previous section.
Locate the Turret Ring and Arm into the Main Body assembly from the previous section.

(Tracked version shown here for reference, weapons are compatible with both).
Assemble the various Scifi Knight components into the Turret Ring and Arm.
NOTE: You may wish to leave affixing the Arms until you have positioned the Pintle
Weapon of your choice.
To assemble the Front Turret you will need to print one of the following pieces in the
“Weapons—Front Turret” folder:
Dual Chaingun.stl
Dual Gatling Cannon.stl
Dual Heavy Rifle.stl
Dual Laser Cannon.stl

NOTE: You will also need the Front Turret Cover component that you printed as part of the
Central Core.

Locate the Front Turret weapon of your choice (Dual Chaingun, Dual Gatling Cannon, Dual
Heavy Rifle or Dual Laser Cannon) into the retaining hole in the Main Body assembly
(Tracked version shown here for reference, weapons are compatible with both).

Use the Front Turret Cover to hold the weapon in place, if no glue is placed onto the
weapon spindle it will be able to pivot in place.
The Front Turret assembly is complete (Example shows Dual Chaingun option).
To assemble the MBT with Side Weapon Pods you will need to print the following files
from the “Weapons—Side Launchers” folder:

Pods with integrated Twin Rifles:


(L) Side Launcher - Turret_Supported.stl
(R) Side Launcher - Turret_Supported.stl
Turret Twin Rifle x 2.stl

Pods without Twin Rifles:


(L) Side Launcher - No Turret_Supported.stl
(R) Side Launcher - No Turret_Supported.stl
Locate the Turret Twin Rifle into the retaining hole in the (L) Side Launcher - Turret.
Locate the completed Side Launcher into the Main Body assembly.

Repeat this step on the Left and Right sides.


Locate the (L) Side Launcher - No Turret into the Main Body assembly.

Repeat this step on the Left and Right sides.


The Side Weapon Pod assembly is complete (Example shows Turret with Twin Rifle
option).
To assemble the MBT with Side Sponsons you will need to print the following files from
the “Weapons—Side Sponsons” folder:

Laser Cannon Sponsons:


(L) Laser Cannon Sponson.stl
(R) Laser Cannon Sponson.stl
Sponson - Top Mount x 2.stl
Sponson - Lower Mount x 2.stl

Hail Rifle Sponsons:

Locate 3 x Hail Rifle into the (L) Hail Rifle Sponson Base
Flamethrower Sponson:
Locate the Flamethrower Barrel (Long) and Flamethrower Barrel (Short) into the (L)
Flamethrower Sponson Base.
Repeat this step on the Left and Right sides.
Locate the (L) Side Plug into the Main Body assembly.

Repeat this step on the Left and Right sides.


Use the Sponson—Top Mount and Sponson—Lower Mount to capture the Sponson
assembly (Laser Cannon Sponson shown) and attach it to the Main Body assembly.

Repeat this step on the Left and Right sides.


The Side Sponson assembly is complete (Example shows Turret with Twin Rifle option).
To assemble the MBT with a Pintle Weapons you will need to print one of the following
files from the “Weapons—Pintle” folder:
Pintle Gatling.stl
Pintle Melting Gun.stl
Pintle Stubber.stl
Pintle Twin Rifle.stl
Pintle Stubber

Locate your Pintle Weapon of choice onto the retaining notches on the Turret Ring and
Arm assembly.
To assemble the MBT with Auxiliary Weapons you will need to print your choice of the
following files from the “Weapons—Auxiliary” folder:
Fragmentation Launcher (Closed).stl
Fragmentation Launcher (Open).stl
Seeking Missile Pod (Closed).stl
Seeking Missile Pod (Open - Empty).stl
Seeking Missile Pod (Open - Loaded).stl
