a great start to all our 23/24 seasons

day with a chance to meet up with friends from other clubs and to watch
and play some great games with the future stars of rugby in action!

Food and Drink
You are in luck, Barnet Elizabethans is famous for its BBQ!
What could be better than a top quality flame grilled burger or hotdog
on the side-lines?

BBQ open from 10:30

Teas and coffees will be available to get you going in the morning from
the clubhouse kitchen

Weather permitting, we will have our Ice Cream machine running,

serving '99s' but without the seagulls!

Also on sale will be bags of sweets to keep the younger ones happy

Sweets and Ice creams all day (while stocks last)

Bar open from 11:00 for a pint or glass of Prosecco to celebrate the day.
Full selection of beers, wines and soft drinks are available.

Dogs
Dogs are welcome but for obvious reasons, they must be on a lead at all
times, they don't make good tacklers and their handling is not even
good enough for a prop forward. Obviously you must also clean up any
mess

First Aid
There will be a dedicated First Aid facility available at the clubhouse, but
please contact the hosting team coach first if you need a first aid kit.
There is a Defibrillator at the club house.

Rules
Although competitive, the emphasis is on fun and player development,
please bear these three principles in mind:
 This is a children's mixed ability event
 All Coaches and Referees are volunteers
 It’s all good fun!
 Each age group will follow the RFU Regulation 15 age grade rules

Awards & trophies

We have wonderful trophies to award each age group in addition to an
overall trophy for the outright winning club.
Award Ceremony is at 1pm at clubhouse

We follow RFU guidance on minis festivals, which is not solely based on

winning alone. The BERFC coaches will be scoring teams based on how
players, coaches and parents demonstrate the values set by the RFU

Awards are also based on Spirit of Rugby nominations from other

attending teams in the age groups, so it is important that everyone
playing and attending remembers our games core values throughout

TEAMWORK - RESPECT - ENJOYMENT - DISCIPLINE -

SPORTSMANSHIP

Pitches/Side line behaviour

Please remind all Parent and other non-players that they are not allowed
on the pitches at any time. A pitch marshal will politely ask them to leave
the pitch if they accidentally breach this rule.
