A. Classroom Preparation and Class Management 1.

Ensures a child- friendly and conducive learning


environment (includes classroom structuring, seating arrangement, light, and ventilation) 2. Organizes the
learning resources (for the present, past, and future lessons) in the classroom 3. Maintains discipline and
order in the classroom 4. Arranges the flow of the learners’ movement, including submission of outputs 5.

3. Explains concepts and principles clearly, comprehensively, correctly, and logically
4. Delivers instruction appropriate for the subject/topic and learners’ level
5. Asks questions (especially HOTS) to elicit desired responses
6. Answers learners’ questions and responses correctly
7. Addresses instructional problems and provides solutions confidently and efficiently
8. Provides appropriate analogies and/or real-life situations to enable learners to understand abstract
concepts when necessary
9. Gives supplementary examples and applications when needed
10. Facilitates discussion of topic based on the learning competencies and content and/or performance
standards 11. Anchors instruction on the discipline-based curriculum, i.e..: a) what the learners have
learned in the previous lesson and what they are expected to learn later b) alignment to content and/or
performance standards and MELCs
12. Integrates appropriately the: a) positive values b) education technology (e.g. use of ICT applications
and tools/gadgets) c) ideas and information within and across subject matters when necessary
D. Learners’ Understanding and Engagement
1. Establishes rapport and employs appropriate motivation
2. Connects present lesson to learners’ prior knowledge, life experiences, and interests
3. Addresses learners’ misconception and common sources of learners’ difficulties in understanding the
topic
4. Caters to learners’ varied instructional needs
5. Considers learners’ abilities and skills, strengths and weaknesses, inclusivity, and other relevant
circumstances E. Instructional Strategies
1. Uses teaching strategy appropriate for the content and learners’ level and interests
2. Utilizes appropriate and relevant instructional materials
3. Applies appropriate leaners’ activities or tasks
