Dear Mr. Wright

Order # HD617-01 dated 23 March, 2023

We have today received the above order for dress fabric and drapery materials. You will recall
that this order was made it November last year.

At that time you assured me that the exact shades and quantities of fabrics that I selected could
be supplied from stock. With this assurance, subsequently issued their own official order.

Finally, after many urgent telephone calls to you to expedite the shipment without further delay
the goods have finally arrived. However, upon examination, I have found the following
discrepancies.

1. Item 3- the green polyester satin which has been supplied in two shades darker than the
sample selected and sent with the order.

2. Only 85 yards of 100% Fuschia linen was supplied instead of the 97 yards stated on the
order. Nevertheless, the invoice shows that we were billed for 7 yards instead of the 85
yards we received.

3. The jacguard lace curtains are 43” wide instead of 45” as specified in the order as
indicated with your sample.

In addition, item no. 6 for 84.5 yds of 60’ wide periwinkle linen was omitted from the order. This
item is now urgently required and our customer has threatened to cancel his order if the goods
are not delivered to his factory by the end of next week. We would therefor like this item to be
shipped immediately via email.

We further request that an immediate adjustment be made regarding points 1, 2 and 3 and we
wish to inform you that we will be withholding payment of your invoice until this matter has
been satisfactorily settled.
