1. A firefighter pulls a child from a burning building in order to save him.

The firefighter doesn’t

get out in time.

- Object: Saving a Child

- Intent: To pull the child out from the burning building
- Circumstances: Firefighter, child, burning building, saving the child
- This is a moral act.
2. A woman takes a prescription drug so that she will induce an abortion.

- Object: Taking Prescription Drugs

- Intent: To induce abortion
- Circumstances: Woman, takes prescription drug, induce abortion
- This is an immoral act.
- Abortion is an immoral act because it is an act of taking away the life of a human being who
has a right to live. Even if it is still a fetus inside the mother’s womb it is still considered as a
child who has a right to life and aborting the child will be considered as killing. When a
mother is aborting her child, she is robbing the child of its future and its right to live a life in
this world.
3. A person who steals from the rich just to give it to the poor/needy.

- Object: Stealing From the Rich

- Intent: To give to the poor/needy
- Circumstances: Person, steals from the rich, giving to the poor/needy
- This is a morally misguided (bad) act.
- Yes, it is a moral and just act for us to give to the poor/needy that are in need of serious
help. However, if our help comes from stealing which is an immoral act; then our immoral
act cannot make the act a moral act. If a person would want to give to the poor/needy then
he/she must give through his/her pockets that does not come from any immoral action.
