CHAPTER 3

Intro

In this Chapter will presents the findings of “Perception of Instructions on the

improvement of programming skills among ACLC Programming students” Results

and the analysis of this research. This analysis aims to determine the evaluation of the

effectiveness of how Teachers/instructors teach there programming students or how

they improved from there guidance.

Data Gathering Methods

This research will go on Qualitative approach to gather data at ACLC Collage of

Ormoc involving the programming curriculum. Some Semi-structured interviews will

be conducted in order to explore the programming teachers there perception of

instructing programming students and their impact on programming skill

improvement. These interviews will allow for an in-depth of the teachers ‘

experiences, there perspective, and there suggestions for improvements.

Sampling

Sampling is a purposive sampling technique will be employed to select the teachers

with enough experience in teaching the programming curriculum at ACLC. An

enough range of teachers from different academic levels and backgrounds will also be

included to make sure to have comprehensive insights into their perceptions. The

Participants in this research will be voluntary, and be consent will be asked from all

participants.
Participants

To gather accurate and reliable data, only the programming teachers will be the

participants for this research since there the ones who handle programming students

and the ones who’s making the students programming skills improved.

Research Locale

The research locale or study area would depend on the location within the ACLC

Collage of Ormoc where the research will be conducted. And only within this school

the research shall only be conducted

Data Gathering Procedure

Research Instrument

We will have questionnaires that will help us gather information from

Programming teachers at ACLC Collage of Ormoc regarding there perceptions

among the improvements of programming students. In the 1 st section the

demographic information we put there where we ask them there names, there

department, years of there teaching experience and there current Programming

course that there teaching.

Next in the 2nd section these questions that will how students improved there

programming skills because of the instructor teachings?, how students

understands or well known about demonstrating fundamental programming

concepts like (eg.. variables, loops or functions etc.), how can students apply

problem solving techniques on writing there codes, How they improved on logical

thinking and algorithmic design skills, how students are confident with fixing trouble
shooting errors and debugging there code, how students are capable of working on

projects that requires programming like (eg… Creating Games or Websites and etc).

Then in the 3rd section These are the questions same mechanic as the last sector but

it tells us how the teachers influenced or impacted the programming students on

their growth and improvements on the programming like How effective the methods

of teaching does to there students, how adequate the exercise practices the

instructor gave to there student for there programming capabilities and Are there

any? Books?, Online tutorial?, any other literature they can use for programming? Or

etc.). After that the 4th Sector would ask about some possible challenges that the

instructor think that can hinder the improvement of programming skills of his/her

students and the 5th sector will accept any suggestions on how can we improved but

not only the students programming skills but also the entire programming

curriculum.

Research questions

With this question will apply a semi - constructed interview to determine our data

with this question the data we will be expected to this is the programming softwares

they use its either Java, Python or any other existing programming software. What

techniques they use, Do teachers have impact or helped the students improved there

prog skills and are there any room for improvement for either sides.

* “What are the Programming software used by the instructor to improve the

programming skills of ACLC Programmings students?”

* “What are the Technique Programming Instructors that improved the skills of

ACLC Programming students?”


* Do teacher teachers believe that there methods will enhanced the skills of his/her

Programming student?

* Are there areas in the programming curriculum where the students teachers

methods or instructors could have improved?
