II. DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES:


Day Activities
DAY 1 This lesson will be for sections A and C on Monday, and for section B on Wednesday
Assembly
 Brainstorming about the previous information about the Nervous system.
 Explain that the nervous system is a complex network responsible for transmitting messages between
the brain and different parts of the body. With this, students learn main information the nervous system
and also, why no we need a Nervous system.
 Answer the questions we have on page 117.
 Explain about the organs that forms the Nervous system, and the function of each one.
 Look at the pictures and explain their function in the Nervous system.
The students will ask to:
 Take turns in order to read the information in the page 117 and they answer the questions and
statements we have there.
 Participate in the conversation leaded by the teacher.
 Pay attention to the teacher’s explanation about the different organs that forms the Nervous system and
the function of each one.
 Highlight the important information about this topic and complete the exercises there.
 Ask questions if they have it.
Evaluation:
Present the exercises done.
DAY 2 This lesson will be for sections A and C on Tuesday and section B on Thursday
Morning greeting and pray to God
The teacher will ask to:
 Begin the lesson with a reinforcement about the topic. Then, explain about the voluntary and
involuntary reactions.
 Ask if they know any voluntary reaction of the body and the same with unvoluntary.
 Teach them about the different diseases that Nervous system can suffer, they read about symptoms and
the names.
 Match the description with the correct disease.
 At the end of the lesson, they will learn about recommendation of how to take care of our Nervous
system.
 Complete a True or False activity on page 120.
The students will ask to:
 They participate in the brainstorm about the topic.
 Listen about voluntary and involuntary reactions.
 Learn about the different diseases that Nervous system could suffer.
 Complete the matching exercise about the different Nervous system’s diseases.
 Pay attention about the recommendations for we take care of the Nervous system.
 At the end, they present the exercises done in order for the teacher check it.
Evaluation:
Students complete the asked exercises.
DAY 3 This lesson will be for section A on Thursday, section B on Friday, and section C on Wednesday.
Assembly
 Begin the lesson by asking students what they know about the endocrine system. Write down their
responses on the whiteboard.
 Reinforce students’ thoughts with extra information.
 Participate in the warm up activity we have on page 121 and ask to complete a matching activity in the
same page.
 Take notes about this week vocabulary.
 Read and highlight important information about the topic and then complete the application section.
 Teach about the different organs involve in the endocrine system.
The students will ask to:
 Share different ideas about this topic.
 Complete a matching activity using the vocabulary.
 Work in matching book exercises.
 Copy a mind map that summarize this topic information.
Evaluation:
 Students share their ideas and highlight the information in the book.

DAY 4 This lesson will be for section C on Thursday and section A on Friday
Morning greeting and pray to God
The teacher will ask to:
 Ask if they know some parts of the endocrine system but in this case related with male’s body.
 Teach those parts and the functions through a visual aid and also, we use the picture in the book.
 Complete the application section in which they have to answer some questions about the topic.
 Teach about the effect of hormonal actions on growth and development.
 Assign to complete the activities on page 124.
The students will ask to:
 Participate about what do they remember about the topic.
 Pay attention about the different effects of those hormonal actions related with the development and
growth.
 Complete book exercises about the topic.
 Check the answer with their teacher’s help.
Evaluation:
Students actively participate and follow the instructions.
Homework: draw and color the nervous and the endocrine system.
Observations: Achievements of the objectives in the previous week: The students achieve 100% of the previous topic.

The teacher will:
 Explain that a prefix is a group of letters that have meaning and are added to the beginning of a base
word to alter its meaning.
 Explain the meaning of some prefixes un- re- in- im- ir- il-
 Tell them to use an strategy for them to know the meaning of each word by using the meaning of each
prefix and base word.
 Choose a word from the box that best completes each sentence. Then creater a definition for the word.
The students will:
 They share the different opinion in order to have many ideas.
 Copy the asked vocabulary related with the topic.
 Participate about words that they know with this prefixes.
 Using this information students choose the correct word from the bank for them to complete the
sentences.
 After this, they will write a definition for each word.
Evaluation:
 Students show interest and work during the class.
Day 2 THIS LESSON IS GOING TO BE FOR: SECTION A ON WEDNESDAY, SECTION B ON THURSDAY, SECTION C ON
FRIDAY
The teacher will:
 Explain today’s activity is going to consist in conversation, they are going to be participating in pairs and
having and amount of time to give their participation.
 For this activity the teacher prepares some different topics.
 Ask students to form couples, take a paper from the basket in order for they discover the topics that
they are going to be talking about.
 They will have around two minutes per each one to give their participation related with the topic. If the
other person does not know how to continue the other one must continue or add more information.
The students will:
 Listen the instructions for this class activity.
 The students pass to the board and take the paper for they to have the topics.
 Teacher is going to be asking students to pass to the front and start the conversation class.
Evaluation:
Students actively work in the conversation exercises.
During thi lesson we continue with “CONVERSATION CLASS” SECTION A ON FRIDAY, SECTION B ON FRIDAY,
Day 3 SECTION C ON FRIDAY
The teacher will:
 Explain today’s activity is going to consist in conversation, they are going to be participating in pairs and

 For this activity the teacher prepares some different topics.

 Remember what a prefix is, the position and all basic information about it.
 Assign to write about the prefixes and the meaning of each one.
 Copy in the notebook this week vocabulary.
 Begin the lesson by working on page 256. They need to write the basic word that is the antonym of each
word.
The student will ask to:
 Pay attention to teacher’s explanation.
 Participate about what a prefix is and try to give the meaning to the ones that we are studying this week.
 Copy the information related with this week topic, there will be the different prefixes, meaning and
examples.
 Start working on page 256 about writing the antonym of the given words.
Evaluation:
Actively work during classes.
Day 2 This lesson is going to be for: section a on tuesday, section b on Wednesday, and section c on Friday.
The teacher will ask to:
 Recall the information from the las class, such as the different prefixes and their meanings.
 Check the answers of page 256 in the case we could not do it the day before.
 Assign to work on the spelling word sort on page 257, they have to label the words according to the
prefixes.
 We check the answers and make corrections if it is necessary.
The student will ask to:
 Participate in the brainstorm about the previous day information.
 Repeat after the teacher the pronunciation of some vocabulary.
 Revise the answers on page 256.
 Continue working on the following pages, those are about spelling word sort.
Evaluation:
Actively work during classes.
Homework: complete the page 258.
Observations: Achievements of the objectives in the previous week: The students achieve 100% of the previous topic.
