PURPOSE OF THE STUDY

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between socio-demographic factors,
specifically family income, and academic resilience among undergraduate criminology students in Central
Mindanao. The study aimed to examine whether age and sex had any impact on academic resilience and
determine if family income was a significant predictor of academic resilience. Additionally, the study sought
to assess the level of academic resilience among the participants and explore the specific factors that
contribute to their resilience. The findings aimed to provide insights for developing interventions that
promote academic resilience, particularly among students from lower-income families, and to suggest

undergraduate criminology students in Central Mindanao. Furthermore, the study highlighted the need for
future research to explore effective approaches for enhancing academic resilience among students from
diverse backgrounds.

academic resilience and providing them with a deeper understanding of its importance. Participants can
gain personal growth and development through identifying their own resilience levels and areas for
improvement. The findings can also lead to the development of supportive interventions targeting students
