TOPIC: Legality of actions taken by ED as against K.Ponmudi in Socio-Legal

Perspective.

OBJECTIVES:

1. To examine the Legality of the investigation undertaken by ED as against

Minister K.Ponmudi.
2. To analyse the Biased Activities of ED using Statistical data about ED’s
Performance.
3. To scrutinise the Centre’s strategies and its hunger for making TN as its
puppet with relevance to 2024 Election.

NOTE:

The controversy about the investigation undertaken by the Enforcement

Directorate, as against the Tamil Nadu Education Minister K.Ponmudi is set
on fire in the recent days. The activities of ED which are evidently biased
have put the Public’s Faith upon ED at stake. Alarming Statistics of ED’s
Performance denotes the probable influence of the Central Government.
Most importantly the legality of the Interrogation Methodology undertaken
by ED has been put to scrutiny. It is extremely interesting to explore the
reasons for why opposition Government Ministers are specifically targeted,
and the Centre’s strategies and its hunger for making TN as its puppet with
relevance to 2024 Election. Further, considering the need of the hour,
recommendations for setting up unbiased ED will also be made.
