Learning Task for Lesson 1.1

Instruction: What could be an innovative invention in information technology that you would
like to be developed? Illustrate the invention and describe its features and significance.

The invention that I had imagined is a virtual computer. It is a hologram-type that is

activated by a small handheld device (like a USB). This device features two biometric
encryptions that will allow any user to access his/her device: through voice recognition (build-in
voice detector) and fingerprint (tear-shape scanner located above the device). Any user whose
computer or laptop is being registered on this small device can virtually access his/her laptop
virtually by pressing his thumb in the scanner and speaking for voice recognition. The laptop will
function similar to his/her original laptop, only that its ports (i.e., USB port, VGA port, etc.) are
not functional since the computer is virtual or holographic. Other than that, this device is also
designed to be operational under extreme conditions due to its waterproof, shockproof, and
freezeproof features and has micro-solar cells which allow the device to generate power from the
sun.
 This invention is such a breakthrough in information technology due to its advanced
features. Any user (i.e., student, businessmen, scientists, explorers, astronauts, etc.) can use the
device anytime and anywhere they wanted. Like smartphones, tablets, and other wearable
technology, this is also a mobile device since it is just small and light, and is thus convenient to
use. Also, because the device is being encrypted, the information stored on it cannot be easily
hacked and the computer itself is safe from being physically robbed or lost.
