II. BACKGROUND/SITUATION ANALYSIS

- As the Christmas season approaches, we find ourselves in an exciting position of

giving warmth and keeping the young mind sparks in an orphanage. We want to give
them ideas where they can use their skills and creativity using recycled materials.
This project also helps them to realize not to limit their capabilities. With this, they
can use their imaginations that could give them a more vibrant Christmas. Children
here only has limited time on using gadgets and are not allowed to go outside. They
are also not allowed to go outside for safety. We also noticed that the children here
are very creative because we visited them last time and saw that they love coloring
books. That's why we come up with a decision of why not teach them some DIYs that
the materials needed are cheap and also easy to make. We are planning to give
them ideas on how they can use their creativity on things that some people might
think useless. These DIYs could also serve as a gift for others that they would totally
appreciate for it's made with love.
