6 WEEKS BEGINNING READING AND NUMERACY

ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
Since 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on education worldwide. There
is increased discussion of possible negative effects on pupils learning outcomes and the
need for targeted support.

At the beginning of the class 2022 – 2023, the Grade 3 Teachers conducted
Reading assessment to all Grade 3 pupils of Agbun-od Elementary School. The objectives of
the program are as follows: To select and identify pupils who will undergo on the remedial
reading and numeracy and to assess the reading level of the pupils through giving the pre-
test. The pupils identified to be part of the program are expected to attend regularly in the
engaging instructional learning activities.

This is six- week activity with a minimum of five days instruction per week and 1 hour
instruction per day.

Fuller Technique and Marungko Method are the materials used which enable
learners a broader knowledge in vocabulary and a simple sense of comprehension through
reading. Power point presentation and video lessons is also used.
