Dashboard, what is a dashboard report, like the name intends to tell you a dashboard has the
same characteristics of a regular dashboard you will have in a vehicle, it gives important
insight data of a project, or company just like a dashboard would do in a car, it would spot
all in one screen the important data or key performance information that you would need to
know at an specific moment all in one glance, this can be very handy if one is to know about
how an specific project or plan is doing at a point in time, providing all the key points info
you need to know. They can be divided into three different categories, such as operational,
strategic and analytical. The operational are mainly used to know key information about the
health performance of a company in real time, where as the strategic dashboard will focus on
key aspects referring to decision making for the future, and the analytical report is used for
handling large quantities of data therefore making it more interactive. So overall the
information that will be added to the dashboard mainly depends on the user’s role within the
company or whatever he or she will use it for in order for it to provide the insight data
required to make a decision.

In conclusion dashboard reports are a very useful tool that if provided with all the necessary
information can successfully lead to withhold all that is needed to carry on a project, business
or to manage a classroom in a very efficient way.
