A. Springboard/Motivation (Establishing a purpose for Activity 1: 10 Minute Pre-test
the lesson) A. Identify the herbal medicines being described. Write your answers in
the blank spaces provided before each number.
Ask:
Did you like the video you’ve seen?
Can you elaborate what can you say about the video?
What are some common illness you found in your barangay or
community?
Are their member of your family or people you’ve known that
used herbal medicine instead of medicinal drugs?

C. Analysis (Presenting examples/instances of the Activity 3: Think –Pair-Share

Can you name some herbal plants you can find in your
own backyard or in your community?
Name what are those?
How can they help people in your family or
community?
What are the first step in curing of an ailment?
D. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills Activity 4: Sing-Along Time
(sub-activity #1)
Learners will sing a song “ Bahay Kubo” presented on the electronic
learning resources (ELR) or refer to the module pp. 4.
Ask:
Did you still remember this song?
What is the title of the song?
Did you enjoy singing the song?
Can you name what are the plants being mentioned in the
song?
Are all the plants mentioned in the song familiar to you?
Do you have them in your backyard or barangay?
Do you think they have medicinal qualities?
Give them their role on the dialogue and study or practice the
situation for 10 minutes.
Give credits or merit to the learners who act out the situation.
F. Abstraction (Making generalizations about the Activity 6: Story Telling/ Role Play
lesson)
Call learners who will act situation on module pp. 7-8.
Give them their role on the situation base on the module a Narrator,
Doctor, and the patient.
Let them act the situation based on the situation by saying “ Once
Upon a Time.”
Ask:
• Remember that the last one to take on the ball paper is the
guide to which he summarizes all the answers given.
Questions:
Where can you find commonly find a herbal plants?
Why do you think people now a days still use some herbal
plants?
What are the economic benefits of herbal medicine?
What are the health benefits of the herbal medicine?
In what way you say that a herbal plants can be useful?
