Over a period of 10 years, there was a downward trend in the number of students in France and Russia,
the opposite was true for America. In 2000, France was the nation had the highest quantity of students,
at 3.5 million, while the figure for Russia was 3 million. From 2005 to 2010 witnessed a stability at 2.5 in
the number of students in France, while there was a slight drop about 0.3 million in the quantity of
students in Russia in 2010. Meanwhile, although in 2000, there was 1.5 million students in America, the
number of students increased significantly to 3 million in 2010 which surpassed the figure for France and
Russia.

In the remainder of the period, the quantity of students of 3 nations experienced an upward trend. The
figure for America increased substantially and peaked at 5 million in 2015. Similarly, there was a
considerable increase to 4.5 million in the number of students in France. A least significant increase to
2.5 million was seen in the figure for Russia which was the lowest of 3 nations.

2. New exercise:

The line graph shows how much fast food was consumed in Britain over a period of 20 years from 1970
to 1990.

In general, the amount of the consumption of hamburger and fish & chips in Britain saw a significant
increase. However, the figure for pizza experienced a slight drop over the given period. It is worth
mentioning that fish & chips was the fast food with the highest consumption at the end of the period.

From 1970 to 1980, there was a upward trend in the quantity of the consumption of hamburger and fish
& chips. In contrast, the figure for pizza decreased slightly between 1975 and 1980. In 1970, pizza was
the fast food which had the highest consumption of 3 types, at 300 gram, while hamburger and fish &
chips was at 30 gram and 90 gram respectively. In the period of 5 years from 1975 to 1980, a moderate
increase of 50 gram was seen in the quantity of the consumption of both hamburger and fish & chips,
while the figure for pizza dropped slightly of 90 gram.

From 1980 onwards, the amount of the consumption of 3 types of fast food in Britain had changed
differently. There was a considerable increase in the quantity of the consumption of fish & chips and
reached at 500 gram in 1990. Likewise, the figure for hamburger witnessed less increase than fish &
chips which hit the high of 290 gram. The data for pizza remained stable at about 200 gram in the period
from 1980 to 1990.
