INTRODUCTION
This month, we are learning about ‘God’. BUT it is not about our Father God who is in
heaven. It is about The Holy Spirit God who is with us here on earth. John 14:26
In fact, The Holy Spirit is God’s gift to us. John 14:16

(The Sun can help explain the Godhead to children – The whole sun is God the Father, the
light is a form of Jesus, and the heat is a form of The Holy Spirit – not because of the heat
feeling but because of its effect)

Week 1: Sunday 1st October 2023

TOPIC: The Holy Spirit is God

BIBLE TEXT: John 14:16

BIBLE CHARACTER: The Holy Spirit

BIBLE VERSE: “The Father will give me the Helper, the Spirit of truth”. John 14:16 ICB

OBJECTIVE: At the end of the Bible lesson, the children should be able to:
● Say who the Holy Spirit Is.
● State why HE is God
● Mention how to have HIM in our lives.
CONTENT

Who is the Holy Spirit?


● The Holy Spirit is God. Jn 14:16
Why is HE God?
● Because He can do what God the Father does. Gen. 1:1-3
How can I enjoy the help of the Holy Spirit?
● I must become God’s child and remain so. John 3: 3

Faith Talk: The Holy Spirit helps me all the time.

Instructional Material:
1. The Bible

3. Songs:
Any song about the Holy Spirit

TEACHER'S ACTIVITIES:
• Introduce the topic with a song.
• Smile while you are teaching
• Use your facial expression and body language to communicate emotions when
teaching.
• Make emphasis by displaying and giving examples that relate to the children’s
daily activities
• Hold up a Bible when teaching. Read from your hard copy Bible when teaching.
• Recite the memory verse with the children.
• Lead the children to Christ using the Wordless book

CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES:
• Listen and participate in the introduction of the topic.
• Read the Bible text
• Listen to the teaching and take notes.
• Recite the memory verse.
• Be introduced to Christ and Ask a question
