Summary : There is a need for more recent studies that address the evolving IoT technologies and their specific
application to concrete road construction. Also, a comprehensive review of the materials used and research
methodologies reveals a lack of consistency, highlighting the necessity for standardized approaches in this field. Further
investigation into the long-term sustainability and scalability of IoT solutions in road construction is also warranted to
4 bridge these research gaps effectively.
OBJECTIVES

1. Create a robust IoT-based monitoring system tailored for concrete road construction projects, with a focus on
real-time data collection and analysis to enhance quality control.
2. Investigate the integration of smart sensors into concrete road construction processes to improve the accuracy
of quality assessments and reduce maintenance costs.
3. Develop and implement machine learning predictive models within the IoT infrastructure to enable predictive
maintenance and enhance road durability and safety.
4. Optimize the deployment and management of wireless sensor networks to ensure efficient and cost-effective
real-time monitoring of concrete road construction quality.
5. Explore the synergies between automation and IoT technologies in the construction process to streamline
operations, improve project efficiency, and enhance the overall quality of concrete road construction.
