GUNDAYAO, CARL ADRIAN M.

WHAT EXACTLY IS UNDERSTANDING THE SELF?

- A person's self-concept consists of all the behaviors, beliefs, and capabilities that he or
she possesses about him or herself, in addition to what is understood from the responses
of others. The capacity of an individual to comprehend his or her own actions, behaviors,
and responses is referred to as self-understanding. Why is it so important to have a solid
grasp on who you are? The significance of self-awareness, in addition to the advantages it
offers. Understanding what makes you tick is an essential part of knowing who you are. It
entails figuring out what is important to you, as well as your strengths and limitations,
together with your behaviors, tendencies, and thought processes.

WHAT EXACTLY IS SELF-CONCEPT?

- Personality is the idea or image of themselves that an individual carries about in their
head. One way to define consciousness is as the awareness of one's own skills, traits, and
potential. It helps us construct an internal picture of our physical, social, and emotional
selves. Our identities and self-perceptions develop and grow as we become older. What
we've been through and how we interact with the world around us are both crucial factors
in molding and influencing who we are.

DEFINITION OF SELF-IMAGE, SELF, ESTEEM, AND SELF-CONFIDENCE.

- Self-Image, the purpose of learning contributes to how one sees oneself. Especially from
our parents and other major caregivers, our upbringing shapes a large portion of who we
become as adults. As so, they act as mirrors, allowing us to view our own reflections. The
reflection in the mirror is affected by the interaction we've had with others, such as
instructors, classmates, even loved ones. It's common for people to feel validated in their
beliefs and perceptions of themselves after strengthening their relationships with others.
- Self Esteem, how we regard and think of ourselves might be a good indicator of our level
of self-esteem. It might be challenging to make changes to our thoughts and beliefs about
ourselves since they are so deeply ingrained in our minds. Having confidence in oneself
is yet another way to think about just this topic. It's possible that your degree of self-
esteem plays a role in whether you like it or not and admire the individual you are.

- Self-Confidence, the building blocks of one's own self-confidence are in a constructive

mental attitude toward one's own potential and strengths. It demonstrates that you are
accepting of who you are and have trust in yourself, as well as that you have a sense of
authority over your life. You have a healthy understanding of both your strengths and
limitations, in addition to having a positive attitude about oneself, and this is really
impressive.

HOW DO YOU GAIN CONFIDENCE IN YOURSELF?

- If changing your views about who you are and what you’re capable of is necessary to
gain self-confidence, then it’s going to take some effort you may look in the mirror every
day and tell yourself “I’m good enough I’m clever enough and I am friendly enough
people like me tend to appreciate my self” and it won’t have any negative effect.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SELF-ESTEEM AND SELF-CONFIDENCE?

- Self-confidence and self-esteem are mutually related but not the same. One's degree of
self-esteem is a direct reflection of how much they think of and respect themselves. Your
sense of self-worth develops and changes as a direct result of the experiences and
connections you have in your lifetime. Self-confidence stems from a strong belief in one's
personal strengths and capabilities.
