Instilling Hospitality in Metro-Manila’s Coworking Spaces: Development of a Value

Co-Creation Model
Introduction
1st Paragraph – Show the trend of co-working spaces using a world view. Then, describe its
relevance in Metro Manila’s post pandemic setting. Is there a problem in the operations of co-
working spaces in Metro Manila during the pandemic?
2nd Paragraph – Describe the importance of hospitality in recreation areas such as co-working
spaces. Then, introduce the issue of lack of hospitality in the co-working spaces in the
Philippines.
3rd Paragraph -Explain the importance of Value co-creation model in improving the operations of
a company or organization. Then, describe how the existing value co-creation model of co-
working spaces does not consider the value of hospitality across the guest journey.
4th Paragraph:
This research aims to develop a value co-creation model for co-working spaces with emphasis on
hospitality. It bridges the gap on the lack of extensive model that considers the element of
hospitality across the guest journey (pre-arrival, during, and post-experience). Its focus is on
determining the factors controlled by the management of co-working spaces but also provides
direct influence in the satisfaction of guests. Moreover, the research highlights the essential value
co-creation elements that considered impacts of the pandemic from a developing country
perspective.

Literature Review
1st Paragraph – Literature review on Value Co-Creation. You may use what you have reviewed
previously here. Highlight that this is the theoretical framework we will be using for the paper.
2nd Paragraph – Transition to the history of co-working spaces and the problems they experienced
in managing their operations. Highlight the fact that co-working spaces is just an emerging trend.
Therefore, there is still no definite model on how to operate if effectively.
3rd Paragraph – Literature review on the importance of hospitality across guest journey. You may
describe the concept of guest journey here and how it is relevant to the perceived value and value
co-creation in the company or organization.
4th Paragraph – Synthesize and highlight the research gaps in the literature.

Methodology
1st Paragraph – Explain the use of qualitative study. Define our approach which is the grounded
theory design since we will be developing a model for value-creation of co-working spaces.
2nd Paragraph – Explain who will be our research participants or informants. Explain that we will
be using non-probability and purposive sampling technique in drawing our participants.
Enumerate the criteria for inclusion or qualification of our participants. For the number of
participants, we will be using the Central Limit Theorem to determine the number of
participants. Then, highlight that it will also be based on data saturation.
3rd Paragraph – Explain that our research technique will be a semi-structured interview. Explain
the importance of interview for grounded theory approach. Explain the process of
instrumentation or the preparation of interview protocol. Then, describe how will you administer
or facilitate the interview.
4th Paragraph – Explain the proposed analytical approach here which is through thematic
analysis. Axial codes will be the specific factors while the themes will be based on primary value
co-creation elements per phase of the customer journey.
5th Paragraph – Explain your ethical approach in conducting the study here. How will you
manage the administration of informed consent, data anonymity, and data storage.
