1. Mention the personnel problems faced by the project?
 The personal problems are related with the project employee and personal
managers
 Related with employees: High labor turnover, disputes and non-co-
cooperativeness, are not happy and satisfy related to welfare facilities and other
benefits, promotion and advancement conditions are not satisfactory for the
employees.
 Related to the personal managers: They unable to manage the condition related to
employees.

2. Briefly discuss the final results of the personnel problems?


 The company managers have no strong or impatient to utilize benefit of favorable
business environment and expand the construction because they lost confidence
regarding their employee in the project.

3. What were the deficiencies of personnel department operating in the


project since long?

 Personnel department of the project functions in a very old and conservative


manner so rather than identifying the root cause for the personal problem and come
up with solution it starts externalizing the problem to the project.

4. Do you agree with the view that creating HR department was a common
solution to all human resource problems of the project? Explain.

 No, there were problem the project manager together with personal manager
directly also responds, like welfare and incentive.

5. Mention the challenges before newly created HR department?

 Understanding the interest of the employee and objective of the project, so that
much the employees’ interest with the objective of the project.
 The employee was not honest and committed for the project.

6. What are the functions, which can be given to newly created HR


department?

 planning, staffing, organizing, controlling and leading will be their function.

7. State what you think would be the major duties and responsibilities of
the newly created HR department

 First do the employee inventories and work analysis for the project together with
expertise (if necessary).
 Much the interest of the employees with the objective of the project
 Identifying the skill and knowledge gaps of the employees and facilitate capacity building
program
 Checking the qualification of the employees much with their position
 Structuring the promotion and advancement conditions to employees together with other
managers in the project.
