18F FDG PET/CECT scan done on 14/09/2022

INDICATION:

Case of carcinoma right breast, scan done for baseline staging and assessment.

FINDINGS:

Increased FDG uptake noted in heterogenously enhancing soft tissue lesion in upper outer quadrant of right
breast with areas of necrosis measuring 1.7x2.8cm with SUVmax 6.93

Another nodule noted infero-lateral to above lesion measuring 1.1cm with SUVmax 6.23

Left breast and bilateral axillae appear unremarkable.

No internal mammary and supraclavicular adenopathy noted.

Multiple bilateral lung nodules noted, with few showing increased FDG uptake largest measuring 1.4x1.4cm
with SUVmax 6.95 (left lower lobe)

Hepatic cyst noted in segment VIII of liver.

Rest of liver appears unremarkable.

Hypodense lesion noted in left lobe of thyroid with no significant FDG uptake USG correlation suggested.

Rest of the scan shows physiological tracer distribution.

IMPRESSION
Scan findings reveal;

Hypermetabolic heterogenously enhancing soft tissue lesion in upper outer quadrant of right breast- site of
known primary. Satellite nodule is also noted.

Hypermetabolic metastatic bilateral lung nodules.

No evidence of active disease noted elsewhere in the present study.
