Enersight launching for Flexacam C3 and Emspira 3

Dear Colleagues,

we are pleased to announce the availability of the first pillar of our new Enersight software platform. This
launch is taking the first step to our overall new software platform for the upcoming product lines out of the
Applied BU. Directly followed by the new mobile Application in September we would like to introduce the
following new set of features.

As of today, newly shipped Flexacam C3 and Emspira 3 devices will have Enersight pre-installed.

Our installed devices can be updated throughout the following steps:

1. Click on or copy the link and download the Firmware/Software file onto a USB stick

2. Plug the USB stick into your Emspira 3 or Flexacam C3
3. If not done yet -> boot the devices embedded software (OSD)
4. Navigate to Settings > General
5. Click on the “Update” button and wait until the procedure is completed
6. Within the settings menu a sensor update button appeared – as both, the Software and the Sensor
should be updated
7. The system restarts automatically and is ready to use!

Support within LAS X is independent of the updates and stays unchanged until March 2023.
(5.1.0 for both and 3.7.5 exclusively for Flexacam C3)
Together with the launch of the first Applied LAS X in 2023, we will stop supporting Flexacam C3 and
Emspira 3 within LAS X. This step is taken to reduce complexity in LAS X portfolio, enabling us to further
enhance quality and stability of our advanced software platform LAS X which shall serve advanced
products exclusively.
Stay assured that we will have a proper fitting alternative solution ready for you and your customers by the
time of this support stop.

The launch of Enersight for our on-screen enabled devices brings a couple of enhancements along
which we would like to introduce next:

1. User Management
With the update to Enersight a user management system is introduced, that will allow the
predefined Admin account to set up user accounts and limit the feature-set/functionality of those.
Settings and configurations are not user-specific but globally defined.
2. ROI (Region of Interest)
For the Autoexposure (AE) and White Balance (WB) functionality a new mode is introduced which
allows the user to define a specific area on the FOV for both functionalities. The AE/WB algorithm
will use the defined area for adjustments to enable better results for reflective or high contrast
surfaces.
3. Barcode Scanner
Enersight will enable the devices to support Barcode Scanners for Image naming purposes. When
a supported Barcode Scanner is detected, an icon appears on the menu for using the device. After
the Barcode is read, all following images are named as the barcode reads. This allows quicker
image naming without the need of keyboards and manual typing.
4. Bit locker
Enersight allows the devices to read and write on Bit locker encrypted devices to follow recent
needs in data security also for carry-on storage devices.
5. Comparison against a negative image
It’s now possible to use a negative image for comparison – give it a try 😊
6. Image Capture with Live Scale
Within the Gallery Settings of Enersight the user can now active an image capture with Live Scale
independent from the overlay settings.
