slide 2:

Fluid power is the use of fluids under pressure to generate, control, and transmit power. Fluid power is
subdivided into hydraulics using a liquid such as mineral oil or water, and pneumatics using a gas such as
air or other gases. Compressed-air and water-pressure systems were once used to transmit power from
a central source to industrial users over extended geographic areas; fluid power systems today are
usually within a single building or mobile machine.

Fluid power systems perform work by a pressurized fluid bearing directly on a piston in a cylinder or in a
fluid motor. A fluid cylinder produces a force resulting in linear motion, whereas a fluid motor produces
torque resulting in rotary motion. Within a fluid power system, cylinders and motors (also called
actuators) do the desired work. Control components such as valves regulate the system.

slide 3:
Bending machines in industrial level is used in almost every manufacturing industry. As the
bending operation requires the power. So we use pneumatic as well as hydraulic power to
perform the operation.
A pneumatic drill, also called a jackhammer, is a portable machine driven by compressed air.

Slide 4:
project sketch:
The bending tool in the above figure used for bend the metal strips. After pressing the start
button Cylinder A clamps the workpiece.Cylinder B extends to bend the part.Cylinder C
completes the finish bend. Then Clinder C retracts then Cylinder B and Cylinder A retracts.

Slide 6:
circuit working
when we press the start button then flow of air continue to the circuit. All cylinders are at
retract position mean A0 B0 and C0 sensors are on.when A0 on then the A+ B+ and C+
operation perform.when A0 on it will give signal to Cylinder A to extend. Then when cylinder A
extends then it will on the sensor A1 which give signal to Cylinder B.Then cylinder B
extends.when cylinder B extends then it on the signal B1 which give signal to Cylinder C .Then
Cylinder c extends.Cylinder C extends then the sensor C1 on.which disconnects the circuit A0
and on the circuit C1.Then which retract the cylinder B and then A.
Cylinder A clamps the workpiece.Cylinder B extends to bend the part.Cylinder C completes the
finish bend. Then Clinder C retracts then Cylinder B and Cylinder A retracts.
When workpiece is at the cylinder A then Cylinder A extends and clamp the workpiece. This will
on the roller for cylinder B which extends and perform the bending operation. When bending
operation will done then it will on the roller for cylinder C which extends and perform the finish
bending operation.
Then after that all cylinders will retract.
