Opportunities for Social Venture

Social Venture is an enterprise with social goals. It simultaneously functions to

maximize profits, while benefiting society at large. The profits made from social ventures are

majorly used to fund social programs. It encourages social entrepreneurs in the social sector

to ensure equality among all people in society. This ensures that the social value benefits all

the members of the community. This paper discusses solar energy as a viable social venture.

Firstly, it helps in saving energy. This is the primary advantage of solar energy (Gong,

2019). This protects individuals from energy price increases. Unlike other sources of energy,

solar energy helps in saving energy. This is a practical social venture for individuals in

society.

Secondly, solar energy has environmental benefits. It protects the environment, hence

it's eco-friendly (Rabaia, et al, 2021). It is important in preventing the effects of climate

change. For example, the use of rooftop solar requires no additional land use (Alam, 2019).

Additionally, does not disrupt natural ecosystems, unlike coal mining and wind energy, hence

a workable social venture.

Lastly, it helps in creating job opportunities (Nsereko, et al, 2021). It offers a great

impact on society. These jobs include installing solar systems and maintaining them. This has

helped in raising the standards of living of individuals in different communities. Solar energy

has a great economic effect on the community, hence a worthwhile social venture.

In conclusion, solar energy is a worthwhile opportunity for a social venture. Firstly, it

helps in saving energy. Secondly, it has environmental benefits. Additionally, it is a source of

job creation. This opportunity serves the community by ensuring social value benefits all the

members of society. Solar energy is a viable social venture.
