Model exam. 4 E.S.O. ANALYTICAL GEOMETRY.

NAME: ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

1. Write the equation of the line r that is parallel to 2x – y + 3 = 0 and goes through the
point P(4,3).
2. Write the equation of the line r perpendicular to 3x - 2y + 1 = 0 and goes through the
point P(2, -1).
3. Study the relative position of these lines. In case they are secants, find out in which
point.
x−4 y −1
a) r: = s: x + 3y + 7=0

4. Write the equation of the line that passes through the points A(3,-1) and B(2,-4)
5. Calculate m so that these lines are parallel: r: x + 3y -2 = 0 s: kx +6y - 5 = 0
6. Calculate m so that points R(5,-2), S(-1,1) and T(2,m) are aligned.
7. Check that the triangle with vertices A(2,-5) B(0,3) C(-3,0) is a right-angled triangle.
8. Represent the vectors ⃗v = (–1, –3), ⃗
w = (3, 1)and u⃗ = (2, 1) . And calculate geometrically
and arithmetically:
a) u⃗ + ⃗v b) ⃗v −2 ⃗ w
9. Find the midpoint of the points P(3,4) and Q(-1,6)
10. Calculate the area of the triangle with vertices, A(1,0) B(-.4,5) and C(2,8), calculating
first the altitude over the side BC
11. Write the equation of this line:
