OVERVIEW/DESCRIPTION
Course description ‫وصف المساق‬
This course aims at boosting the students' comprehension of written texts by empowering them with the
strategies of reading and enriching their repertoire of vocabulary. It provides them with the skills of
interpretive and critical reading, eliciting the text's ideas, disclosing the author's point of view and building
conclusions, comparisons and evaluations of the viewpoints of the text reflects.
It is concerned with the better understanding of the nature of reading as an interactive process,
strategies and types of reading, word attack skills, text analysis, and testing evaluating reading
skills.
