LESSON 15

Stress negatively affects your health. This is a very common problem that affects
our mental state and it causes anxiety or depression. It may help motivate you to
meet a deadline or complete a task under extreme pressure. Memory problems,
moodiness, aches and pains, and eating more or less are all symptoms of stress.

Stress manifests itself in a variety of ways. The most common and frequent
ailment is headache. Teenagers, are easily stressed as a result of schoolwork and
housework especially this time of pandemic.

If an individual cant handle too much stress it can also cause depression and
anxiety. When there is a prolonged period of stress, there is an increase in cortisol
and corticotropin levels in the body. The presence of hormones causes a surge in
clinical anxiety and mood disorders.

When a person faces continuous challenges without a break in between, it

causes a negative impact, making the person pessimistic. When you're stressed, it's
easy to become irritable and snap at people without even realizing it, even if you're
normally agreeable and calm. Stress is known to change the way we feel and behave.

Sometimes stress is not bad, because it gives you the chance to turn impossible
to possible without realizing. Dealing with stress is what makes us alive to overcome
our fears, problems and etc. What matters is how you respond and cope up with it.
Stress is part of balance in our life, there is no success without stress.
