Man: I love Jesus. I love Him so much. I know it’s not a competition, but if it were, I’d probably
be beating you right now. While others are out watching sports or hanging out with their
friends, you know where I am? Reading my Bible. Yeah, and not just the easy stuff either,
I’m reading Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy…at the same time…in Greek! I don’t
really understand it, but I’m doing it anyway.

I teach not one, but two Bible Studies. One on the socio-economic effects of the gospel
in third world countries and the other on the pre-trib/post-trib debate and what this
means to our increasingly divisive bi-partisan political system.

I can tell you how many times they use the word ‘obedience’ in the bible - 61. And I can
recite all the names of God, in Aramaic, Hebrew and Greek. I read, I teach, I serve, I give
and I sacrifice. In fact, I am doing everything I am supposed to.

Complete change in body, face, and demeanor. This section is delivered as sincerely as possible.

…and yet, I still don’t know God. (Pause) I’m dying on the inside because I’ve never taken the
time to actually listen to God. I’ve never truly believed in grace.

My whole life I thought, if I did enough, if I worked hard enough, then I would finally
understand God, and that he will show himself to me. I faked it. For so long and so well, that
I’ve tricked everyone, even myself at times. But I still don’t know God. I have spent so much
time working for my salvation, and now I’m just… tired.

You know I’m just tired because I just finished my most recent 7-day fast. Look, I’d love to
stay and chat but I saw some people sinning on the way in, and I’m probably the only Jesus
they’re going to see, so I better go save ‘em. Enjoy the rest of your night and remember if
people can’t see what you’re doing for God, you’re probably not doing enough.
