 Context
Type of school Private language school in Tlaxcala city
Students 5 adults learners, from 18 to 22 years old.
Class schedule 2 times a week (Monday and Wednesday) from 4 pm to 6 pm.
Level B2

 Reading task

Type of speaking: Interactive

Interactive reading task: Short-Answer Task/Open-ended reading comprehension questions.

Description: p. 216

 Speaking assessment procedure


1. The last lessons were about verb be (singular and plural) subjects, -WH questions, and
vocabulary about numbers, countries, and nationalities.
2. Students get in pairs, then, teacher gives to each one a format where student A has it in
blank and student B has the information of this format.
3. Once they have the formats, they must get prepared for presenting. They will get agree
about how to make the questions and their responses. Proper pronunciation of -WH
questions, numbers and certain vocabulary words will be expected.
4. Meanwhile they get prepared, students can make notes about the possible answers. They
will have 10 minutes.
5. Without notes, pair by pair will pass with the teacher and teacher will observe the
performance. It will be about 5 minutes.
6. At the end, teacher will give feedback about their performance by a checklist.
