Frequent Questions…some favorites:

Is is possible to apply with a 3 year bachelor´s degree? Or with a course for 180 ECTS?
> Applicants need to have a degree awarded after 7 semesters (Bologna scheme, 210 ECTS). To
see if your course qualifies you please send your modules list to master-fb6@fh-aachen.de so
we can check.

Will studying be online or face to face?

> We are returning to studying in presence in the summer semester 2022. It is expected but
cannot be guaranteed that the coming semesters will stay in presence.

Is the GRE mandatory? What about CGPA?

> Yes, for applicants from outside the EU it is necessary to pass the GRE at 81% or better
(quantitative) to be admitted. This is irrespective of the bachelor´s degree held and cannot be
waived by other factors; it is a mandatory requirement. Persons holding a German bachelor´s
degree do not need a GRE. Unfortunately, we cannot consider CGPAs.

Frequent Questions…some favorites (cont`d)

What is the intake per year/how many are admitted?

> We admit approx. 25 students per semester (i.e. 50 per calendar year)

What is the difference between summer and winter semesters?

> We have two intakes. Classess differ in summer and winter but none are consecutive so you
can start whenever you want

Can I apply with a provisional degree?

> Yes, it is possible to apply with a provisional degree provided the document was issued by the
university itself. Note that you will need to supply certified copies of the (provisional) degree to
enrol in the programme in English or German language.

And which questions can we answer for you?
