CONTIGENCY PLAN OF SARIAYA

TRANSITION FROM F2F TO DISTANCE LEARNING

DURING THE NATIONWIDE TRANSPORT STRIKE

RATIONALE

In adherence to DepEd’s advisory to continue learning through alternative delivery modes (ADM) during
the week-long nationwide transport strike that will be staged on March 6-10, 2023, Sariaya National
High School designs this contingency plan and tool.

OBJECTIVES

This contingency plan aims to achieve the following:

 Ensure learning delivery thru appropriate distance learning modalities


 Implement continuous school daily operations
 Guide all personnel in performing their tasks/ activities
 Supervise/monitor all teaching and non-teaching personnel

STRATEGIES

It is imperative that every time nationwide situation arises such as transport strike, the teaching-
learning process will continue to ensure that quality education is achieved. Hence, it is the responsibility
of the school to provide a well-defined course of action that will guide all stakeholders in achieving this
goal. In coping with this situation, the following measures are to be practiced:

SCHOOL HEAD
Inform coordinator/s, Chief Advisers, Guidance Coordinator regarding the plan of action that is
implemented by the school.
Issue a school memorandum regarding the plan of action to be adopted by the school.
Disseminate information to all stakeholders thru the official FB page including group chats and local
barangay officials.

DRRM COORDINATOR
 Co-implement this contingency plan and tool.
 Monitor/ supervise teachers in their tasks and learners’ progress.
 Keep updates from the School Head of latest development.
 Check Weekly Home Learning Plan of teachers.
 Supervise retrieval of learning modules and outputs.
 Use existing appropriate M&E tool for instruction supervision.
 Consolidation of IDLAR and online attendance of teachers.

Note: Classroom Observations (COs)’are suspended during the weeklong transport strike.

TEACHING PERSONNEL

Class advisers shall inform parents thru group chats updates regarding the learning modality to be
employed by the school during the current situation.
Subject teachers shall have to choose appropriate learning modality for the sections that they are
handling, vis-à-vis:

Online Modality
Deliver the lesson through the most suitable online platform agreed upon by both teachers and learners
Use existing classroom online policies being implemented by the school
Monitor learning that will be reflected in their Individual Daily Log and Accomplishment Report (IDLAR)
Accomplish daily online attendance
Send a copy of the Weekly Home Learning Plan (WHLP) to parents and students

Digital Modular Modality


Send modules, activity sheets and other learning activities to learners thru group chats, text messages or
google classroom
Retrieve outputs thru the same channel/platform or hand-in their outputs once they report back to
school.
Send a copy of the Weekly Home Learning Plan (WHLP) to parents and students

PARENTS
Assume the role of teachers or home facilitators in the delivery of instruction to their children
Monitor their children’s performance and progress
Keep an open communication with the adviser and subject teachers

LEARNERS
Accomplish all of the tasks/activities that will be given to them by their subject teachers
Follow the allotted time frame for each subject to avoid cramming
Submit/Hand-in outputs to their subject teachers upon resumption of F2F classes
Communicate to subject teachers and advisers all their queries and clarifications

ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF, CLERICAL STAFF, LIAISON & REGISTRAR

Assign personnel that will compose the school’s skeleton workforce (SWF)
Answer all calls from school/office during work-from-home (WFH) and/or to report to school when
necessary
Perform customary duties and responsibilities including but not limited to reports/paper works
Accomplish daily online attendance
IDLAR shall be supported by MOVs
Send a copy of the IDLAR to respective unit.
Consolidate IDLAR.

Note: Skeleton Workforce personnel are exempted to submit IDLAR and MOVs.

NON-TEACHING PERSONNEL (SECURITY PERSONNEL, & UTILITY

Utility shall be expected to perform their regular duties.


Usual and regular official time shall be observed.
Accomplish and submit DTR

MONITORING TOOL
The school shall utilize existing monitoring tool for instruction and daily operations as reflected
in the school M&E tool.
