Which part is not clear?
C. ACTIVITY Time allotment: 5min.
Instruction: The student will perform the activity using the balloon rocket.

D. ANALYSIS Time allotment: 10 min.

 What students need to The teacher will let the students process the activity by giving question that wil

new skills # 1 Group the students into 3 and give the following situations: See attachment A1
A2 and A3 respectively. Let the students discuss among themselves the
condition of the objects in the picture.

How does the object react with the forces acting on each other in terms of
magnitude and direction?

Group 1 When you jump, See attachment A1.

Group 2 A swimmer, See attachment A2.
Group 3 While Walking, See attachment A3.

concepts and practicing
new skills # 2 The teacher will discuss the lesson.

Newton’s Third Law of Motion: Law of Interaction (Action-Reaction) “For

every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.”

Action-Reaction Forces
 Two forces are equal in size.
 Two forces are opposite to each
other in terms of direction.
 Two forces have the same line of
action.
 Action acts on one object, while
reaction acts on another object.
Force is a part of mutual action, an interaction, between one thing and
another. For example, consider the interaction between the hammer and a nail.
While the hammer exerts a force on the nail, the nail exerts a force on the
hammer. In the interaction between the hammer and the nail, there is a pair of
forces, one acting on the nail and the other acting on the hammer.

E. ABSTRACTION Time allotment: 10min.

 Finding practical Instruction: Investigate how different amounts of force affect the object’s
application of concepts and acceleration differently by examining the given situations below. Answer the
skills in daily living questions that follow.
 From the abstract concept
to concretizing examples – See page 11-12 of Learner’s Material.
cite examples connected in
real life situations.
 Developing mastery which
leads to Formative
Assessment)

F. GENERALIZATION Time allotment: 5 min.
 Generalizing the ideas by Instruction: The teacher will ask learners to generalize the lesson.
asking the students to 1. What is Newton’s third law of motion? Define.

ensure mastery of the topic
for the day. 2. Explain how action and reaction forces occur in an object or situation. .
 The teacher may ask the (Action acts on one object, while reaction acts on another object.)
questions from the
analysis. Explain Action-Reaction Forces
**Follow up on HOTS or (Two forces are equal in size, opposite to each other in terms of direction, and

Experience)
G. APPLICATION Time allotment: 10min.
Instruction: Identify the action-reaction forces in each picture. The first picture
is done for you. Write your answers on a separate sheet of paper.

H. EVALUATION Time allotment: 10 min

 Multidimensional Instruction: Analyze the situation and answer using the law of interaction.
Assessment
Two vehicles are stuck in a muddy place, a car and dump truck, the purok
leader in your place ask for help to remove the vehicles, which vehicle would
you like to help considering your size and age? Why?

Rubrics:
The presenter will be graded according to the holistic rubric below.
4 The learner comprehensively
analyze and explain the situation
giving 3 or more accurate
facts/reason related to law of
interaction.
3 The learner comprehensively
analyze and explain the situation
giving 2 accurate facts/reason
related to law of interaction.
2 The learner analyze and explain
the situation giving 1 accurate
facts/reason related to law of
interaction.
1 The learner analyze the situation
by choosing the answer w/o
explaination.
0 The learner do not demonstrate
understanding of the lesson is not
evident.

I. HOME DELIGHTS/TASK Time allotment: 2 min

Additional activities for On your notebook, write an example of activities you do in school where law of
application or remediation interaction apply.
V. REFLECTION Instruction: Learners will be asked to complete the phrase.
 Ask which part of the 1. What did you learn from this lesson?
