Material Description in SAP can accommodate only 40 Characters. Each material will have different descriptions and
data. So please update the excel file in each row and confirm how many materials are to be created. Whatever is
your requirement is you have to confirm that, MIR not required for you then it should be OK. Also please confirm if
this is for Controls, then Div 29, and lab office 120. Vikram will be the Material Analyst.

For Segment 6 For your information.

Please note that Segment 6 is to be used for Processes only and we are in a transition period with the CofEx team in
implementing this. The material description requested here seems to belong to other segments. Please check
whether another class is available and if so, re-classify and re-submit. For further guidance on which segment to now
choose, please refer to the MACS procedure DIR No.10002609276 and use T-Code CL30N or refer the MACS
responsible table - Link.

If you cannot find a replacement class then please advise accordingly and the material will be established in S6 as
requested. But please note that as part of the CofEx Team work scope, the materials which have been incorrectly
classified to S6 will be reclassified to other segments and further, there will shortly be a restriction placed on
generating new S6 materials and for which the CofEx team will support in generating any new segment classes
required.

Hi!

We have bought some test servers, which are temporary test equipment (with the intention to scrapping them after
the project ends).
I need to create a SAP MN for these, in order to be allowed to ship them (ref PRB Natalia Smidt).

I looked into SAP to see if I was so lucky that there was an existing SAP MN, but none existed (several similar related
to HP DL380 servers, but none exactly as mine).

As this is temporary test servers, the documentation requirements will be minimal, so maybe a MIR is not required?
(or it will be a thin one)

Do you require any other input from me?

Hi!

According to PRB, SAP MNs must be allocated for the Weisang test servers before we can ship them anywhere.

This means that I need to:

■ Define new MN
■ Make New MIR table for the new MN
■ Update SoW 10004028106 chapter 8.2 (topic for this ECR)
■ Update PO (new item 31, delete old item 30)
■ Update some vendor documents, eg
■ ITP
■ SMDL

This about 40 hours work for me (maybe a bit less if I am lucky).

There will also be some further work with other related documents, I am trying to make a list of these.
Weisang may need to create half a dozen new documents in their SMDL, e.g.
- FAT procedure and record
- IOM for test server (required for preservation)
- Preservation record (later to be put into MRB)
- MCCR and MC Punchlist document for test server
- Dispatch Dossier Index and Dispatch Dossier for test server
- ….

Assuming this ECR is approved, I’ll then proceed with the other items.

Who shall I use as Material Analyst when creating a SAP MN for a DELL server?
