“Community Convergence”
Union Christian College commenced an outreach program entitled,

“Community Convergence,” on November 17, 2022 at Santa Monica, Bauang
La Union.
To kick start the program, a Zumba was organized by the School of

Education, Arts and Sciences (SEAS), encouraging the children to join and
show their skills in dancing and to refreshen their body, mind, and soul with a
wonderful new day.
The kids participated and enjoyed with smiles on their faces and still
implementing the important COVID protocols such as wearing face masks,
and social distancing.
The children applaud as they have done the first part of the program and they
seem to be happy for the next part and continue to learn some teachings of the
faculty and staff as well as the student nurses.
Dr. Manelyn I. Cacho, Director of CCETID, presented the statement of
purpose and address the reason for conducting the project in their chosen
barangay Sta. Monica, with emphasis on the word specifically.
Dr. Manelyn I. Cacho introduced the faculty and staff coming from the SEAS
DEPARTMENT so the children to be familiarized with them if they may have
any queries to ask for.
The instructors shared about the fun activities that the kids will be doing as
the rest of them introduced themselves too.
Words of gratitude from Union Christian College's College President, Dr.

Ferdinand A. Anno were given, thanking the Barangay as well as the school
for their warm welcome and for their strong bond relationship.
The children listened carefully to the words of Union Christian College's

College President, Dr. Ferdinand A. Anno.
Mam Aileen Casuga, the Principal of Sta. Monica Elementary School

provided welcoming remarks, thanking the school for choosing its school once
again.

Each of the students received pamphlets on how they are going to properly
wash their hands. It comes with the steps and its order

The students helps in putting their chairs aside as the games starts.
They formed a big circle as the first games starts. They passed the ball to the
student beside them and when the music stops, the one holding the ball is out.
The game was organized by Ma’am Jo-ann O. Grupo, an instructor of UCC

School of Business Arts and Sciences
There is also a table for emergency cases headed by UCC-SHeS to attend to

those in need. One of the parent bring her child and said that he has fever. He
received paracetamol and went home afterwards to rest.
Each of the students received prices because of their participation of the game
Ms. Erlyn M. Sabate, an instructor also from the SEAS department asked the
students for their message to the school.
The next games is Sack race. The students are grouped into 6 having 10
members each. The first group to accomplish the game wins.
Each group has their team guide from the school, intrcuting them how to play
the game.
Before the game starts, each team was tasked to create a yell and perform it to
the crowd. Best in yell team has been awarded afterward.
The selected students from SHeS with their clinical instructor, Atty. Eric

After the games and the giving of prices, the students are given snacks
sponsored by the school
