ॐ
सह नाववतु । सह नौ भुनक्तु । सह वीर्यं करवावहै ।
तेजस्वि नावधीतमस्तु । मा विद्विषावहैः ॥
असतो मा सद्गमय ।
तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय ।
मृत्योर्मा अमृतं गमय ॥
ॐ
सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः ।
सर्वे भद्राणि पश्यन्तु मा कश्चित् दुःख भाग्भवेत् ॥
Meaning:
(Salutations to Sri Ganesha) who has a curved trunk, who has a large body and whose
splendor is equivalent to a crore suns !
Oh Deva ! please make my undertakings free of obstacles, by extending your blessings in all
my works, always !!
वरदे the giver of boons कामरूपिणी the form who fulfills desires
सदा always
Meaning:
Oh Saraswati ! Salutations for you !
Oh giver of boons who fulfills our desires !!
गु darkness रु remover
गुरुः dispeller of darkness ब्रह्म creator
विष्णुः preserver देवः god
महेश्वरः destroyer साक्षात् self/ himself
परंब्रह्म he who is the absolute lord तस्मै to such
श्रीगुरवे sri guru नमः salutations
Meaning:
Guru is the Creator (Brahma), Preserver (Vishnu) and Destroyer (Maheshwara) !
Guru is the absolute (singular) Lord himself. Salutations to that Sri Guru !!
Meaning:
May we both be nourished !
May we work together with great energy !
May our intellect be sharpened (may our study be effective) !
Let there be no animosity amongst us !
Ohm! peace (in me) ! peace (in nature - surrounding us) ! peace (in divine forces) !
सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः ।
सर्वे भद्राणि पश्यन्तु मा कश्चित् दुःख भाग्भवेत् ॥
सर्वे (may) all भवन्तु be
सुखिनः with happiness सर्वे (may) all
सन्तु be निरामयाः with good health
सर्वे (may) all भद्राणि auspicious
(prosperity, health, happiness)
पश्यन्तु see मा no
कश्चित् anyone दुःख sorrow
भाग्भवेत् may become part of
Meaning:
May All be Happy !
May All be Free from Illness !
May All See what is Auspicious !
May no one Suffer from sorrow !
असतो मा सद्गमय ।
तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय ।
मृत्योर्मा अमृतं गमय ॥
Meaning:
(Oh Lord !)
Take me from unreal to real
Take me from darkness to light
Take me from death to immortality
ॐ पूर्णमदः पूर्णमिदं पूर्णात् पूर्णमुदच्यते ।
पूर्णस्य पूर्णमादाय पूर्णमेवा वशिष्यते
Meaning:
Ohm ! That is complete. This is complete. From the completeness rises the completeness !!
