Nympha Narvasa-Decasa reflected on her first classroom observation teaching (COT-I) with an English 10 class. The lesson on determining how connected material is viewed was challenging due to the abstraction from the activity. Some learners shared personal challenges that still affected them. While some students participated actively, others were shy and needed to be approached at their seats. The teacher was only able to assign an application task as homework due to limited remaining time, but regrouped students and explained differentiated performance tasks before dismissal.

By: Nympha Narvasa-Decasa My Quarter I- Classroom Observation Teaching I (COT-I) took placed last Sept. 19, 2023 with my English 10 –Rajah Sulayman class at 8:30-9:30 AM. The lesson 4 on Determine How Connected to the Totality of a Material Viewed was challenging especially from the ABSTRACTION we had from the activity. There were some learners had shared sad personal challeges that until now affected them. I was happy then for some learners were participative . On the other hand, some were shy to stand and I had to go to their seats to listen with their shared ideas. I just made the APPLICATION as an assignment for them to perform by Thursday-Sept. 21, 2023 for we had barely 10 minutes left . But, I regrouped the learners into 3 and explained the DIFFERENTIATED GROUP PERFORMANCE TASKS before dismisal. It was worth-fulfilling, were learners had a fun-time in our discussion.
