A festival encompass a wide range of art forms including music, dance, film, fine art,
literature, poetry and isn't solely focused on visual arts. It may feature a mixed program that include
music, literature, comedy, children's entertainment, science, or street theatre, and are typically
presented in venues over a period of time ranging from as short as a day or a weekend to a month.
Festivals are larger than life celebrations of various things. They occur at regular intervals and helping in
breaking the monotony of life. Furthermore, they give you the chance to celebrate the little and big
things in life. Festivals are the carriers of peace and joy in the communities.

SCREEN DOOR
The cell membrane is like the screen door because it allows people in and out of your house, in the same
way that the cell membrane allows materials in and out of the cell. Thus, a screen door holds things out but lets air
in.

ANALYSIS :
If cell membrane has only one biomolecule component, it will be similar as unicellular organisms, where organisms
consisting of one cell only that performs all vital functions including metabolism, excretion, and reproduction.

APPLICATION:
1. Carbohydrates of the plasma membrane are major recognition and attaching sites for pathogens during
infection. Virus, such as the influenza virus, pathogenic E. coli bacteria, and some protozoa need to be
attached to the cell surface before entering the cell, otherwise they will be swept by the cleaning
mechanisms of the body. These pathogens have proteins, known as lectins, that bind to specific
carbohydrates of particular cells. Thus, the type of cell to be infected depends on the carbohydrates they
show in the plasma membrane.

2.Molecules will have a hard time entering the cell or going out of the cell if it is only a
monolayer of phospholipid. .If phospholipid bilayer diffusion is normally negligible, there
will be tissues (largely lacking in transporters that may be expressed elsewhere) which,
despite the relative functional similarity of their phospholipids, are very poor at transporting
molecules within and out of the cell.

REFLECT:
The cell membrane is the cell’s outermost line of defense against SARS-CoV-2, the novel coronavirus
responsible for COVID-19 disease.Cell membranes are just a few nanometers thick but are essential
for life. They serve as a barrier between the cell’s interior and its surrounding environment and host
many activities necessary for cell function.
